The VITREE 2026 result date for January session is now available. The result has been announced on official website and can be checked using their application number and password. The VITREE result scorecard 2026 will comprise qualifying status of applicant, including candidate's details, score in individual subjects, and qualifying status. Applicants declared qualified based on the VITREE result 2026 will be have to pay online admission fee and attend counselling. 

Selection Procedure for VITREE 2026 Admission

Candidates applying for VITREE 2026 will be shortlisted through the following process -

Selection of VITREE -qualified candidates will be based on the performance in the exam, PG degree marks, research proposal, followed by personal interview. The details regarding the VITREE counselling and personal interview will be notified and informed to the applicants on their registered email ID. The Vellore Institute of Technology will conduct VITREE 2026 counselling process after the announcement of results. The counselling process comprises registration, personal interviews, guide selection and document verification. Candidates must pay VITREE 2026 counselling fee online to confirm their admission. Also, they must carry the folowing documents while reporting to the college -

• Tution fee payment receipt
• Marks list (Class X to XII)
• UG and PG (degree/provisional certificate and mark sheets- year-wise/semester-wise or consolidated marks sheet)
• Transfer certificate/Migration certificate/College-leaving certificate (original)
• Nativity certificate for North-Eastern States of India
• Student Profile
• Physical Fitness Certificate
• Affidavit by the parent/guardian
• Affidavit by the student
• Undertaking by the student
• Six recent passport-size photographs 

Candidates must submit their research guide and pay the tuition fees before the deadline (as specified.)

Candidates can check the VITREE 2026 exam pattern on the official website. Applicants appearing for the exam must refer to the exam pattern for their preparation. The VITREE exam will take place on December 20, 2025. The VITREE 2026 exam is an online computer-based exam for 2 hours. The exam authority asks all the questions in multiple-choice format. Applicants are advised to check VITREE 2026 eligibility criteria before filling application form. For all Research Programmes, candidate must have studied in regular, full-time, and formal education in their previous degree programmes (UG and PG). VITREE January 2026 Eligibility Criteria

• For PhD, candidates must have a master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum qualifying mark of 60% or CGPA of 6.5. 
• For Direct PhD, candidates must have an excellent academic record in their bachelor's degree with a minimum qualifying percentage of 75% or CGPA of 7.5
• For PhD Deep Technology Research Chancellor Fellowship, candidates must have an outstanding academic record in either bachelor's or master's degree with a minimum 75% marks or a CGPA OF 8.0
