The Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has opened applications for its free coaching program for the Civil Services Examination (Preliminary-cum-Main) 2026. The program, which includes hostel facilities, is specifically designed for candidates from Minorities, Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Women, aiming to support underrepresented communities in their pursuit of a career in civil services.

The announcement was made via an official notification shared on X by JMI’s handle, which stated, the program, run by the Centre for Coaching and Career Planning at JMI, offers a structured schedule to guide aspirants through the preparation process for the 2026 examination.

The notification outlines the following timeline for the Civil Services Coaching Programme 2026:

Online Application Submission: May 9 to May 29, 2025

Last Date for Hard Copy Submission: May 30, 2025

Entrance Test (Objective Type): June 15, 2025 (10:00 AM to 12:00 PM)

Essay and Written Test (Descriptive): June 15, 2025 (1:30 PM to 4:30 PM)

Test Result Announcement: July 11, 2025

Last Date for Admission Completion: August 10, 2025

Registration for Waiting List Candidates: August 17, 2025

Admission for Waiting List Candidates: August 18, 2025

Classes Commencement: September 9, 2025

Program Details and Eligibility

The coaching program is free of cost and includes hostel facilities for selected candidates. However, a refundable caution deposit of ₹10,000 is required for hostel residents. The program targets candidates who have completed their graduation and are eligible to apply for the Civil Services Examination 2026. It focuses on preparing aspirants for both the Preliminary and Main stages of the exam, with additional support for the Personality Test (Interview).

The notification emphasizes that the program is exclusively for Minorities, SCs, STs, and Women, aligning with JMI’s commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in civil services. Candidates are required to submit their applications online via the official website, with a hard copy submission deadline of May 30, 2025.
