What is ATMA Exam?
AIMS Test for Management Admissions or ATMA is a national-level exam conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) for admission to MBA, PGDM, MMS, MCA and PGDBA courses. More than 750 management institutes across India accept ATMA scores for admission to their management programmes. The test aims to assess the aptitude of candidates, which is necessary for higher management studies. ATMA question paper comprises six sections. ATMA is conducted multiple times a year in the centre-based online test mode across various centres in the country. Questions in the exam are asked from Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal Skills.
ATMA is a popular MBA entrance exam. The scores of the ATMA exam are accepted by some of the most prominent B-Schools in India. ATMA is conducted 4-5 times each year. - Confirm the exact location of the ATMA test centre at least one day before the ATMA exam day to ensure that transportation is available on time. If you are new to the city or the location of the centre, it is adivsable to visit the centre once.
- Arrive early to the ATMA exam centre. Applicants must ensure that they arrive at least an hour before the exam begins.

ATMA score is determined on the basis of correct answers marked by students in the ATMA exam. For each correct answer, they are awarded one mark. For an incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted from the total score.
This means that for four incorrect answers, one mark is deducted from the total score. The raw score of students is scaled with reference to the total number of students appearing in the exam.
The ATMA percentile is percentage of students among those who have appeared for the exam and scored below the students in that category. That is, if a student has scored 53 per cent, this means that 53 per cent of students who have appeared in ATMA exam scored below him or her.
ATMA result is usually released within a week from the exam. ATMA July result 2025 was released on August 2, 2025. The August session result will be released on September 4, 2025. ATMA 2025 Admission Process
ATMA admission process includes the following four steps:
Candidates can register online on the official website of AIMS and fill the ATMA application form. The application fee is INR 1,600 which is to be paid online through debit/credit card or net banking. While filling up the ATMA application form, candidates can select up to five institutes/colleges to send their scores for admission.
ATMA exam is held in the computer-based test mode across 102 cities in India. Candidates need to select ATMA 2025 exam centres (usually the test cities) while filling the application form.
STEP 2: ATMA admit card 2025
ATMA admit cards will be released for the registered candidates three days before the exam. Candidates must download their admit cards and self-declaration forms and take a printout of the same before the exam, as these are mandatory documents. ATMA admit cards 2025 will be available online for downloading, till the exam day.
STEP 3: ATMA mock test 2025
ATMA mock test 2025 will be conducted two days ahead of the exam day, to familiarize the candidates with the test guidelines if the exam is conducted in the internet-based test mode. It was mandatory for the applicants to appear for the mock test which will be conducted between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM for 45 minutes. If the applicant does not appear for the mock test, he/she will not be permitted to appear for the actual exam. The mock test will be conducted to avoid any hassle during the exam day.
STEP 4: ATMA exam 2025
ATMA exam will be conducted in the centre-based online test mode. The test will comprise 180 questions on Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative, and Verbal skills. Candidates get 180 minutes to solve the questions.
STEP 5: ATMA result 2025
ATMA results will be declared online on the official website. The test takers can check the ATMA result 2025 and download the scorecard by entering their PID number and password. The scorecards will not be sent to any candidate by post. Based on marks scored, candidates can apply to the institute/college of their choice and participate in the further admission process of the participating college.

No, students have to carry a coloured printout of the ATMA admit card to the ATMA exam centre to get an entry. ATMA admit card is a mandatory document which is to be carried to the exam centre along with a recent coloured passport size photograph affixed to it. The photograph should match the one uploaded in the ATMA application form. Along with the admit card students should carry the following items:
- Original Photo ID proof issued by the Government of India
- One clear black and white photocopy of ID proof

Students appearing for the ATMA exam must carry a coloured copy of the ATMA admit card. They must paste a recent coloured passport size photograph on the admit card. They must also carry a blue or black ball point pen to the exam centre. They must not carry any other stationery item to the ATMA test centre.

- Candidates belonging to the North Eastern states of India are given 50 percent concession on the application fee.
