Last Week Preparation Tips to Ace ATMA 2025

You must dedicate the last week of preparation to solving mock tests and revision. Do not start new topics and utilize the time for optimal performance. Here are a few last week preparation tips for ATMA 2025:

Daily Revision

Revising the complete ATMA syllabus in the last week is not feasible. So, list down the important topics from which the questions are most likely to be asked by analyzing the previous years’ question papers. By the last week, you must have been prepared well and would be thorough with the concepts, theorems and formulae. Revisit the concepts and jot down notes while revising so that these concepts are etched in your mind. Focus on your strong suits and practice the weaker areas.

Attempt One Final Mock Test

Practice at least one ATMA mock test in the last week before the exam keeping in mind the sectional and overall timings of the ATMA exam. This will help you boost your confidence and help in preparing you for the exam day. Do not base your preparation completely on the mock test. Note the areas and questions where you have not scored well and practice them separately. This will also give you an idea of what not to do in the exam. The level of the ATMA question paper is moderate. Hence, do not stress if you do not score well in the ATMA mock test.

Go Through Previous Years’ ATMA Question Papers

Spend one to two hours analyzing the previous years’ ATMA question papers to know which topics are usually asked in the exam and which are the important ones. Solving the previous years’ question papers will not only acquaint you with the kind of topics but also help you improve your speed and help in understanding the difficulty level of questions. The exam pattern of the ATMA question paper usually remains the same. There are 180 multiple-choice questions in total carrying one mark each.

Do Not Start a New Topic

Do not start a new chapter or a new topic when only a week is left for the ATMA exam. Starting a new topic just a few days before the exam will take a huge chunk of your precious time and may also lead you confused and ill-prepared for the topic. The last thing you need a few days before the exam is to be stressed.

Focus on Solving Tricks and Shortcuts

Spend some time on shortcuts to solving the questions in the ATMA question paper. ATMA is a time-based exam, hence you should try to make the optimum utilization of time by not wasting time doing rough work. Memorize formulae, theorems, tables, squares, square roots, cubes, cube roots, etc. for the Quantitative Skills section. Read regularly till the day of the exam to help you with the RCs in the Verbal Skills section, and for the Analytical Reasoning section practice as many questions as you can.

Prepare for the ATMA Exam Day

Make an exam day strategy well in advance. Have a good eight-hour sleep before the exam and have a good breakfast. No amount of preparation is enough if you are stressed or sleepy or tired on the exam day. Do not take stress and be confident.

Relax

The last week of ATMA preparation is all about being confident and relaxed. You have put in a lot of effort in preparing for the ATMA exam, so do not let the stress and worry ruin that. Indulge in activities that will help you clear your mind and take your mind off the stress about your performance in the exam.

Association of Indian Management Schools does not conduct a centralised counselling process for the ATMA exam. Each participating institute releases its ATMA cutoff and students who match it have to appear for GD/PI/WAT rounds.
