MAH BEd CET 2026: The State Common Entrance Test Cell conducts the BEd entrance exam for education colleges in Maharashtra. This entrance exam is conducted for both three-year and four-year ELCT and integrated courses. The tentative schedule has been released in November. What is MAH BEd CET?

The MAH BEd CET Exam is a state-level entrance examination that is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test. This teaching examination is conducted to offer admission to candidates into BEd Courses across the state. The entrance exam is of one hour's duration in an online computer-based mode. The MAH BEd question paper will comprise three sections, including Mental Ability, General Knowledge, and Teacher Aptitude.

MAH BEd CET Eligibility Criteria 2026

A. Candidates from Maharashtra State

i) The Candidate Should be an Indian National.

(ii) They should have passed a Bachelor’s Degree and/or a Master’s Degree. The subjects could be Sciences and Mathematics /Social Sciences (History/ Geography / Economics / Political Sciences / Psychology / Philosophy / Education /Library) / Humanities Sciences (All Languages and Literature) / Commerce. A minimum of 50% marks for UR, and 45% marks in case of Backward Class categories is needed.

OR

(ii) They should have passed a Bachelor’s Degree and/or a Master’s Degree. The subjects in Engineering and Technology / (with Science and Mathematics as a special subjects) / Bachelor’s Degree with the subjects: Management / Engineering / Computers / Law / Information Technology / Agriculture/ BBI / Medical Sciences / All Social Sciences / Fine Art / Performing Art (Music / Dance / Drama, etc.). The minimum 55% marks (Minimum 50% marks in case of Backward Class categories.

B. All India Candidature Candidates:- Other State Candidates :

(i) The candidate should have passed/appeared in any Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree. The universities must be incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature or declared to be a Deemed University.

(ii) Candidate must score a minimum of 55% of marks for all categories.

C. NRI/OCI/PIO/Foreign National Students/CIWGC Candidature

i) The candidate should have valid NRI/OCI/PIO/Foreign National/CIWGC documents mentioned.

(ii) The candidate should have passed/appeared in any Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree. The universities must be incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature or declared to be a Deemed University.

(iii) Candidate must score a minimum of 55% of marks for all categories.

Important Note:

  • Aggregate marks mean the Grand Total of Marks obtained by the Candidate at the Degree for which the Class/Grade is awarded by the University
  • In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the formula/procedure
    certified by the Board/ University/Institution that has awarded the same. It is obligatory on the part of the candidate to bring the Conversion Certificate from the Board/ University/ Institution.
  • Candidates should fill in the marks as Aggregate marks, considered by the University/Examining body for the Award of Degree/Class and Grade. Some Universities award Class, Grade, and Degree on the basis of All Three Years’ Degree marks. Some Universities award a Degree/Class/Grade based on Second and /Third Year marks taken together. Some Universities have a semester pattern, and the GPA of all semesters is totaled, and the CGPA is shown. The Universities give CGPA to Marks or a %Formula. The candidates should use that to fill in the Correct Marks.
  • If the candidate enters wrong marks and in the college level verification, the admission is rejected for the candidate, the candidate will be responsible for the loss

MAH BEd CET Syllabus 2026

The MAH BEd CET Syllabus 2026 will be issued by the exam conducting body. The question paper will be based on three sections: Mental Ability, General Knowledge, and Teaching Aptitude. The teaching test includes these topics

MAH BEd CET Admission Process 2026

The process begins once the notification by the State Common Entrance Test Cell is released. After that, all the interested candidates 

Registration 

  • Browse to cetcell.mahacet.org.
  • Click on “New Registration”. Fill in all the required credentials.
    • Name of the Candidate 
    • Contact Details 
    • Email ID 
  • Create your password and security questions.
  • Submit and confirm the details
  • Upload the scanned copies of the required documents.
  • The candidate has to select the “Centre of Examination”.
  • After the completion of the MAH BEd CET 2026 Online Application form, candidates will have to submit the fees online.
  • Save a copy application form and fee receipt.

A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated and displayed on the screen. Now, candidates can fill in the Provisional Registration Number and Password to log in and apply for the MAH BEd CET exam.

Fill out the MAH BEd CET Application Form 

Candidates can fill out the application form. They need to enter their name, their father/husband, academic details in the application form. They also need to upload the scanned image and signature before submitting the application form. Now, candidates are required to make the payment by using payment methods like those given below  

  • Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro).  
  • Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallet. 

Take the e-receipt printout after the successful submission.

English Language Content Test

Interested candidates for ELCT CET must select the English medium language criteria in the application form.

MAH BEd CET Application Form 2026

The stem cell releases the application form with the official notification release. Meet the requirements to appear before starting the registration process. The candidate will have to register themselves as a new user, enter their personal details, upload their documents, and pay the fees. 

The entire process can be completed with the listed steps.

  • Browse to the https://cetcell.mahacet.org/cap-_2026-27/. 
  • Under 'Higher Education', click on 'BEd'.
  • Click on 'Candidate Login' to get redirected to "Single Sign on Login Page'.
  • If you are a new user, click on 'Register' otherwise use registered email ID and CET password to login.
  • You can check your registered details like your name, DOB, gender, and chosen course on the redirected page.
  • You will find the radio button with 'Have you Appeared for MAH BEd CET 2026?', choose yes or no.
  • If yes, enter your registration number with password. Validation will get the pre-filled details. 
  • Complete all the details, and upload the documents.
  • To submit the form, pay the fees.

MAH BEd CET Application Form Correction

It is strongly advised to all the candidates that they must verify all the details they have entered during the registration process. Before locking, they can make any change in MAH BEd CET Application Form. Tick the checkbox only when you are sure that all the entered details are correct. There are only certain things that can be changed during this window.

During the correction window, unlock the application form to process. Once you have made all the changes, resubmit the option form again.

Documents Required during MAH BEd CET Registration

During the registration process, uploading the documents for verification is compulsory. The files that are needed are

  • Domicile Certificate
  • Birth Certificote
  • School Leaving Certificate
  • Community, Nativity & Date of Birth Certificate of the Candidate indicating Place of Birth in the State of Maharashtra.
  • Orphan Certificate issued by Competent Authority. 
  •  Statement of Marks of SSC and HSC /Equivalent Examination. along with conversion certificate if candidate has passed SSC from CBSE,IGCSE, ICSE or IB board in single PDF.
  •  Statement of Marks of Graduation/Equivalent Examination: BA, Passing Year 2026. along with conversion certificate in single PDF format.

Before you upload any document, please go through the Information Brochure. Upload only the original documents to avoid rejection during the verification process. If any qualification has multiple marksheet or final Total marks (as entered in application) is different from the marks given in uploaded marksheet, then that candidate must attach a conversion certificate (format is available on website) with all marksheets in a single PDF, mentioning Total marks

MAH BEd CET Admit Card 2026

The admit card of MAH BEd CET will be made available a few days before the exam.

How to Download the Admit Card?

  • To download the admit card of MAH BEd CET, browse to State Common Entrance Test website.
  • On the homepage, they will see a short notice titled “MAH BEd admit card” they must click on the link.
  • A login window will open where they will have to enter their credentials such as registration number/roll number and password/date of birth.
  • Candidates must take the printout of the admit card and affix their recent photograph on it. They must carry the admit card to the exam center along with one valid photo ID proof.

MAH BEd CET Answer Key 2026

The State Common Entrance Test Cell releases the provisional key within 20-25 days of the exam. For the 2026 session, it was released on April 21, 2026. Candidates were allowed to raise any valid objection until April 23. Under the candidate's login, there is an objection tracker for grievance addressal. There is a fee of 1000 Rs. for every objection raised.  After validating all the objections, the final answer key was released on May 16, 2026 (tentative).
