SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Analysis: 2nd March 2023

SSC CGL Tier 2 exam was conducted on March 2. It was the first occasion that the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam was conducted based on the new exam pattern and syllabus. SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Analysis 2023

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Analysis March 2: The Commission conducted the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam on March 2. This was the first instance when the Tier 2 exam was conducted as per the new exam syllabus and exam pattern. The Commission released the SSC CGL Tier 2 shift timing on February 24 for all the candidates. As per the shift timing, the Commission will conduct the SSC CGL Tier 2 Paper 1 on all days except on March 4.  The Commission will conduct the SSC CGL Tier 2 Paper 2 and 3. The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam will be conducted till March 7. The Commission released the SSC CGL Tier 2 Shift Timings on February 24 mentioning the shift timing and dates for the exam.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Difficulty Level

The candidates who appeared in the exam shared that the overall difficulty level of the SSC CGL Tier 2 paper 1 conducted on March 2. The candidates shared the sectional difficulty level also.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Expected Cutoff

The candidates shared the expected cutoff for the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam as per their view. The expected SSC CGL Tier 2 cutoff for the post of AAO is summarised below:

Some of the candidates said that the cutoff will be arrived after the normalisation process and hence it would be difficult to predict the SSC CGL Tier 2 Cutoff.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Computer Knowledge Questions

The candidates found this section as the most difficult one. Some of the candidates even said that it would be difficult to qualify in the Computer Awareness section. Some of the topics on which the questions asked in the Computer Knowledge section are as follows:

• Hyperlink shortcut key
• Trojan Virus
• What is Yandex
• Full form of PDF

The Commission asked one question from each of the topics mentioned in the Reasoning syllabus. The questions asked in the reasoning sections were easy. In English Section, most of the questions were asked from the Grammar and Vocabulary section. The questions asked were moderate and tricky.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

The Commission changed the exam pattern in the official notification released online. The Commission introduced General Awareness and Computer Knowledge in the Paper 1 and also added the skill test in Tier 2 of the exam. With this, the Commission removed the separate skill test and document verification from the exam process. 

This made the SSC CGL Tier 2 crucial for the final selection of the candidate. The introduction of General Awareness made it tougher than its previous version. The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam started on March 2 at the designated exam centres. The candidates need to check their admit card to know their exam centre. SSC CGL Tier 2 Syllabus

The Commission revised the SSC CGL Tier 2 syllabus to accommodate the changed exam pattern. The Commission notified the new SSC CGL syllabus in the official notification. The candidates can see the SSC CGL Tier 2 syllabus as summarised below:

SSC CGL Tier 2 General Awareness Syllabus

The Commission did not mention the General Awareness syllabus in detail. The candidates need to expand on each of the topics as mentioned in the official notification. The topics mentioned for the SSC CGL Tier 2 General Awareness syllabus are as follows:

• Geography
• Economic Scene
• General policy and Scientific research
