SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Analysis March 2: The Commission conducted the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam on March 2. This was the first instance when the Tier 2 exam was conducted as per the new exam syllabus and exam pattern. The Commission released the SSC CGL Tier 2 shift timing on February 24 for all the candidates. As per the shift timing, the Commission will conduct the SSC CGL Tier 2 Paper 1 on all days except on March 4. The Commission will conduct the SSC CGL Tier 2 Paper 2 and 3. The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam will be conducted till March 7. The Commission released the SSC CGL Tier 2 Shift Timings on February 24 mentioning the shift timing and dates for the exam.

The Staff Selection Commission is expected to conduct the SSC CGL 2024 Tier 1 exam from September 9 to 26. The Commission released the SSC CGL 2024 exam dates on August 8, 2024. The SSC CGL 2024 notification was released online on June 24, 2024. The last date to apply for the exam will be July 24, 2024.

The Commission asked one question from each of the topics mentioned in the Reasoning syllabus. The questions asked in the reasoning sections were easy. In English Section, most of the questions were asked from the Grammar and Vocabulary section. The questions asked were moderate and tricky.
SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern
The Commission changed the exam pattern in the official notification released online. The Commission introduced General Awareness and Computer Knowledge in the Paper 1 and also added the skill test in Tier 2 of the exam. With this, the Commission removed the separate skill test and document verification from the exam process.

No. The Tier 1 marks for the SSC CGL are not used in the preparation of the final merit list. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates are shortlisted for Tier 2 exam. However, the final selection and ranking is based on the marks obtained in the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam.
