The NTA has conducted UGC NET English Paper on March 1, 2023. According to the candidates, 8-9 questions were asked from British and American literature. Chronological questions were dominant in the paper. Almost, 20 questions were asked from Chronology. A few Indian literature questions were present in the paper. Few questions were asked from DI, Teaching Aptitude & Research Aptitude. Paper 2, which carried subject-specific questions, was moderate in nature and Paper 1 was easy to moderate in difficulty level.
Mundsar Alam, who appeared for the English paper said, "Paper 2 was of moderate level and it was not easy. In Paper 1, the maximum number of questions were asked from DI, Current Affairs, Teaching & Research Aptitude. In Paper 2, 8-9 questions were asked from British and American literature. "
Simran said, " Paper 1 was of easy to moderate level and Paper 2 was moderate. In Paper 2, chronological type of questions were asked maximum. The cut-off will be less as the paper was moderate to difficult."
Rohit said, "Overall exam was moderate, Paper 1 was moderate to difficult and Paper 2 was moderate. In Paper 2, major questions were asked from cultural theory & literary terms."
