UGC NET Phase 2 Exam Analysis

The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully conducted the UGC NET Phase 2 exam for Anthropology and more. The exam is being conducted in two shifts-9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm. The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate to difficult compared to last year. According to UGC NET exam pattern, paper 1 carries 50 questions from Teaching Aptitude, Research Aptitude, Reading Comprehension, Communication, Reasoning (Including Maths), Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Information & Communication Technology (ICT), People & Environment and Higher Education System: Governance, Polity & Administration.

The UGC NET Anthropology paper exam was successfully conducted by the NTA on June 22, 2023. The difficulty level of the exam was moderately difficult in terms of difficulty level. The UGC NET Mass Communication was conducted by the National Testing Agency on June 21, 2023. The difficulty level of the UGC NET Paper 2 exam was moderately difficult in nature. The history and dates-based questions were dominant in the paper. Films and Television, Public Relations, and Communication were on the easy side. Paper 1 was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. The maths and research aptitude were tougher side as compared to the previous cycle exam. The UGC NET 2023 Economics was moderately difficult in nature in comparison to the previous session exam. The question was asked from topics like Maxima and Minimal Diagrams, Utility Function, FERA, FEMA, Chronology, Identify Equation Model, Matching Functions, Curve, Assumption of the Adam Smith Model, Central Government Budget Allocation, and more. The 10 to 15 questions were asked from the quant section. On the other hand, the Paper 1 exam was moderate in nature. The UGC NET Education for the June session exam got over on June 19, 2023 (12:00 pm), the exam was moderate in comparison to the UGC NET December Cycle 2022. The questions were asked from topics like National Commission on Teachers (1999), National Curriculum Framework 2005, National Knowledge Commission (2007), Yashpal Committee Report (2009), and National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education (2009). The NTA is expected to release the UGC NET notification in April 2026. It will be announced in the form of PDF at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The notification or information brochure consists the details about the exam including the registration form, exam duration, pattern, etc.

The NTA released the UGC NETadmit card 2025 for the December session exam. It was released on the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The admit card is a mandatory document thata needs to be carried at the examination centre by the candidate.

The UGC NET December session exam was over on January 7. As per the students' feedback UGC NET January 2 Paper 1 was Moderate some felt that Assertion & Reasoning part was a bit difficult. Paper 1 was lengthy.
