The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the UGC NET Phase 3 exam from March 3 to 6 for 8 subjects. The UGC NET Phase 3 shift 1 exam got over at 12:00 pm for Geography and Mass Communication. The UGC NET Shift 2 exam will begin for Geography at 3:00 pm which will continue till 6:00 pm.
University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) or NTA UGC NET is a national-level exam conducted in order to determine the eligibility of candidates for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor posts in Indian universities and colleges.

UGC NET Phase 3 Exam Analysis for Geography- March 3
Based on the student’s reactions UGC NET Geography Paper 2 exam comprised questions from Cartography, Geomorphology, Climatology, Oceanography, Statics, Transport Geography, Political Geography, Agricultural Geography, etc. Paper 1 comprised questions from ICT, Maths, Reasoning, Assertion, Logic, etc. The Data Interpretation section was tricky and time taking in nature. The difficulty level of reasoning was easy to moderate in nature on the other hand the question from ICT were difficult in nature. The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate in nature.
UGC NET Geography Student Reactions

- Srikant said, "The question was asked about Indian forest, environment, ecosystem, etc. The Paper 2 difficulty level was moderate in nature. Paper 1 was easy to moderate in nature".
- Anshu said," The conceptual based question was asked in paper 1. Mean, Mode, and Median questions were asked in Paper 1. Theory-based questions were dominant in nature. Paper 2 was easy to moderate in nature".
- Deepak said," The assertion-based question, matches the following, and the chronological question were asked in paper 2. Paper 2 was moderate in nature".

UGC NET Phase 3 Mass Communication Exam Analysis- March 3
The UGC NET Mass Communication exam got over on March 3 in Shift 1. The overall difficulty level of the UGC NET Mass Communication Paper 2 and Paper 1 was moderate in nature. Paper 1 was easy to moderate in nature. The maths questions were easy to moderate based on percentage, average, and missing numbers. The Reasoning Section was easy while the communication and the ICT section were moderately difficult in nature. The Paper 2 passage was easy in nature. The chronological questions were dominant in Paper 2
UGC NET Mass Communication Student Reactions
The student’s reaction has been given below for the candidates that were taken after the shift 1 exam for the UGC NET Mass Communication:
- Anandita said, "The paper was a bit more difficult than the previous year. The questions were deep in nature. The Paper 1 was easy to moderate in nature. However, the maths section was tricky and time taking”.
- Raj Saini said, "Paper 1 was difficult in nature. The maths section was difficult. Paper 2 was easy compared to the previous year. So it is possible that the cut-off for the UGC NET December Cycle will be higher than the previous year". Talking about the center, he said," The arrangements and security were good".
- Neel Darshan said, " The difficulty level for Paper 2 was easy to moderate in nature. The statement-based questions were asked in the Aptitude section. About 50 questions in the Paper 2 were moderate in nature whereas 20 questions were difficult in nature and 20 questions were easy in nature".

The NTA released the UGC NETadmit card 2025 for the December session exam. It was released on the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The admit card is a mandatory document thata needs to be carried at the examination centre by the candidate.

The UGC NET December session exam was over on January 7. As per the students' feedback UGC NET January 2 Paper 1 was Moderate some felt that Assertion & Reasoning part was a bit difficult. Paper 1 was lengthy.
