UPSC Prelims 2020: COVID-19 arrangements at the IAS exam centres.

UPSC prelims exam 2020 was conducted on October 4 across the nation. Civil services 2020 exam was conducted amid the coronavirus pandemic and the prevailing flood conditions in the Northern and Eastern states of the country. UPSC Prelims 2020 was conducted in the morning and the afternoon sessions.

UPSC had issued the guidelines for the candidates along with the UPSC admit card. The UPSC issued the guidelines related to the social distancing norms and the personal hygiene required to be maintained by the candidates appearing in the UPSC 2020 Prelims exam.

UPSC has issued guidelines to the exam centres regarding the social distancing norms and the sanitization of the candidates and examination halls. The UPSC examination halls were sanitized after the first session. This is the reason that the second session of the UPSC 2020 prelims exam started at 2.30 PM.

All the candidates were following the instructions given to them by UPSC. There was ample police arrangement for strictly implementing the social distancing guidelines. Most of the guardians were satisfied with the COVID-19 arrangement done at the UPSC exam centre.

UPSC issued the directions to the Chief Secretaries of all the states to implement the guidelines issued to them for the effective conduct of the UPSC 2020 prelims exam. The UPSC also confirmed, in its affidavits submitted to the Supreme Court of India, that it has given directions to all the state that all the public transports will run at to its optimum level for the UPSC IAS 2020 prelims exam.

The UPSC IAS Notification 2026 has been postponed due to administrative reasons. The Commission released a notice on its official website - upsc.gov.in regarding this. The Commission will also revise the last date for UPSC applications.
