To be eligible for the IIT JAM 2026 examination. You need a Bachelor's degree with specific marks, which is 55% marks for general, 50% for SC/ST/PwD in relevant subjects. There is no age limit to qualify the IIT JAM 2026 eligibility criteria.

1. Education Qualification: The student must have a bachelor's degree with a relevant discipline.

2. Minimum Marks Required: 

General/OBC(NCL) - 55% marks 

SC/ST/PwD - 50% marks

Regarding the IIT JAM 2026 eligibility criteria, IIT Bombay has stated, "At the time of admission, all admitted candidates have to submit a Physical Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed form. The admitted candidates may also have to undergo a Physical Fitness test by a medical board constituted by the Admitting Institute. Admission is liable to be cancelled if a candidate is found physically unfit to pursue their chosen course of study."
