How to Fill IIT JAM Application Form 2025: Check Registration (October 18), Fee, Documents Required & Eligibility

IIT Delhi, the examination conducting body for JAM 2025 exam has announced the examination schedule for the academic session 2025-2026. JAM 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on February 2, 2025 at various exam centres across the nation. Candidates can refer to the IIT JAM 2025 dates mentioned in the section below:

IIT JAM 2025 Application Form Start Date

The exam authority had already released the IIT JAM 2025 examination dates and all the important dates for the JAM 2025 admissions process like JAM 2025 application form start sate, last day to fill out the application form, admit card release date other events. Candidates are able to fill out the JAM application form 2025 by visiting the official website from September 3, 2024 onwards. The first step is doing the registration sign-up, which will create an account for the candidate on the JOAPS portal. The other steps in the JAM registration form 2025 can be done later.

IIT JAM 2025 Application Form Last Date

JAM application form 2025 will remain open for a month, and IIT JAM 2025 aspiring candidates will be able to fill out the JAM registration form by October 11, 2024 upto 11:50 PM through Credit/Debit Card/NetBanking/UP. The JAM application process will be completely online, right from doing the registration for the JAM registration account to paying the IIT JAM 2025 registration fees. Last date to change the Examination Cities /Test Papers /Category /Gender will be November 30, 2024.

IIT JAM 2025 aspirants, while filling out the application form, can only pay the JAM registration fees online. The last date for filling out the IIT JAM 2025 registration fee will be October 11, 2025 upto 11:50 PM. 

IIT JAM 2025 Application Correction Window

Candidates will also get the opportunity to edit the IIT JAM 2025 application form against the incorrect details they provided earlier. The IIT JAM 2025 application correction window is expected to open in the third week of October 2024 tentatively.

Photograph Requirements:

• Upload only a good quality (not blurred) recent photograph.
• The photograph must be recent and must be in COLOUR. Background of the photograph must be white or a very light colour.
• A passport size (3.5 cm Width × 4.5 cm Height) JPEG/JPG format photograph of the face of the candidate is required for the application form.
• Maximum size of the JPEG/JPG image can be 480 × 640 in pixels. The minimum pixel size of the JPEG/JPG image should be 240 × 320. The file size of the image should be in the range of 20 KB to 200 KB. Aspect ratio (width: height) has to be between 0.66 and 0.89.
• The face should occupy at least 50% of the area of the photograph with a full-face view looking into the camera directly.
• Forehead, eyes, nose, ears, and chin should be clearly visible. These must not be covered by hair, any cloth/facemask, or any shadow.

Signature Requirements

• Upload a good-quality image of the signature.
• The signature must be in dark blue or black ink.
• Size should be within 2 cm in Height  × 7 cm in Width.
• Don't write names in capital letters.
• It should be in JPEG/JPG format.
• The maximum size should be  160 × 560 in pixels and the minimum size should be 80 × 280 in pixels.
• Aspect ratio has to be between 3.15 and 4.04.

IIT JAM 2024 Registration form: Signature Format Acceptance

Certificate for OBC-NCL/ EWS/ SC/ ST/ PwD:

• Candidates who belong to OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST and/or PwD categories have to upload a valid certificate issued ONLY by authorized officials.
• Candidates should upload a scanned copy of the relevant certificate in pdf format of file size in the range 10 KB to 300 KB. Candidates shall be required to submit the same certificate during Admissions to the respective Admitting Institutes.

IIT JAM 2025 Application Form: Complete Step-by-Step Process

Candidates have to follow the steps given below to apply for IIT JAM 2025:

Step 1: Visit the Official website of IIT JAM 2025 

While filling out the IIT JAM 2025 application form, the first and foremost thing that the aspirants must keep in mind is knowing the official website of IIT JAM 2025. The particular website will require a login for every step or piece of information, right from downloading the information brochure to getting the IIT JAM 2025 results. IIT Delhi, the exam conducting authority, releases or announces any information regarding the exam on its official website.

Step 2: Register at JOAPS

First, candidates have to register themselves at the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) by filling and submitting details such as name, email address, mobile number, and password. Once candidates registered for the exam successfully, they were sent an email and SMS containing their enrollment ID. Candidates need to save the enrollment ID and thereafter proceed towards filling JAM 2025 application form.

Step 3 Fill Details in IIT JAM Application Form

• Students should fill the IIT JAM 2025 application form by log in to their accounts using the IDs and passwords.
• They need to select one or two test papers for exam which should be conducted in different sessions.
• Enter the exam centre preferences up to a maximum of three cities.
• Fill out the personal detsails including name, gender, date of birth, parents' name, category etc.
• They need to enter the address for communcation. The address must include the pin code.
• Enter the educational qualification details inlcudeing the degree name, year of passing, total marks and college/university name.
• Upload passport-size coloured photograph with a white/ very light colour background. The file size should be between 5 KB and 200 KB.
• Upload scanned image of signature in black or blue ink.

Data Requirement for Filling the Application Form:
The following information will be required while filling out the form at JOAPS portal:
• Personal information (name, e-mail id, date of birth, mobile number, parent’s/guardian’s name, parent’s/ guardian’s mobile number, etc.)
• Name of the candidate in the application form must exactly be the same as per qualifying degree. JAM 2025 Scorecard will be issued as per the name entered in the application form. Prefix/titles such as Mr /Shri /Dr /Ms /Mrs /Smt, etc. should NOT be used.
• Address for communication including PIN code.
• Details of Eligibility degree.
• Name and address with PIN code of the College/Institute/University.
• Choice of JAM paper(s).
• Choice of JAM Examination Cities.
