JNU Admissions through the CUET PG exam 2026 have started. The candidates can apply till June 15 to PG courses offered by JNU. The JNU offered 60 courses under the CUET PG 2026 exam. The candidates will be eligible for the JNU admission only when they fulfil all the eligibility conditions given in the prospectus.

JNU Admissions through CUET PG 2026

The Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) has released its CUET PG Admission prospectus for the session 2026-27. The JNU has released the list of faculties and courses offered through the CUET PG 2026. There are 21 departments in JNU which offer admission in the Master's degree through the CUET PG 2026 exam. 

The National Testing Agency released the CUET PG Result 2026 on April 24 with the final answer key for all 157 subjects. The CUET PG 2026 exam was conducted from March 6 to 30.

Courses offered by JNU in CUET PG 2026

In the admission prospectus, the JNU notified that it offers M.A., M.Sc., MCA, MPH, and M.Tech. (except M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering & Electronics and Communication Engineering of the School of Engineering), Post Graduate Diploma, Advanced Diploma Programmes through CUET (PG) 2026.

The JNU offered 60 courses under the CUET PG 2026 exam. The University already published the CUET PG Paper code and the Course offered combination on the National Testing Agency’s official website. The candidates should note that Jawaharlal Nehru University was one of the participating universities in the 198 institutions.

The candidates will be eligible for the JNU admission only when they fulfil all the eligibility conditions given in the prospectus and they had appeared in the prescribed paper of the CUET PG.

Q:   Who will determine the final merit list for CUET PG Admission?

NTA will generate the CUET PG score card, and no separate merit list will be announced. It will share the scorecards with the participating institutes. They will conduct the counselling process separately. During this process, the universities will release separate merit lists. 

Q:   When will the CUET PG 2026 counselling process start?
A: 

CUET PG 2026 counselling process will be conducted by the participating universities separately. The majority of the CUET PG 2026 exam participating universities will be conducting their counselling process online. Candidates have to visit the official websites of participating universities to get information about the CUET PG 2026 admission process. Based on last year's dates, it is expected that the CUET PG counselling 2026 will begin by June.

Q:   Who conducts CUET PG Counselling?
A: 

Although NTA, National Testing Agency is the CUET PG 2026 examination conducting body but the CUET PG 2026 Counselling process is not conducted by NTA. As per the previous year trend, candidates can expect the counselling process for CUET PG 2026 will be held separately for different participating universities under the CUET PG 2026 Examination. It is expected that this year's counselling process will not be a combined counselling process.

JNU Admissions (2026-27) Through CUET PG 2026

To get admission in JNU, the candidates are required to apply separately on JNU’s website as per the following dates:

Application Start Date 25 May 2026

Last date to Fill JNU Application Form 15 June 2026

The candidates who cleared the CUET PG 2026  exam shall be admitted to JNU’s Master's Program offered under it. The candidates should note that there will be no Viva-Voce of the candidates seeking admission in JNU but there will be deprivation points added to their score as per the JNU 2026-27 admission policy and procedure.

The candidates are required to fill the JNU admission form online and select the courses for admission. They must have appeared in the CUET PG papers mapped with each course because this is the primary eligibility condition.

After filling the details, the candidates should fill their eduational qualification with their city of residence because it will decide the deprivation marks.

No, candidates did not need to pay any fees for making corrections in the CUET PG application form. However, if any candidate changed his/her category from SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD to the unreserved category, they need to pay the application correction fees. For making any other changes, candidates did not have to pay any fees. NTA did not refund the fee for the reduction of test papers or due to a change in category.

Reservation Policy in JNU CUET PG Admission Seats

The university follows the standard reservation policy for admission seats.

The above criteria are not applicable for MBA and MTech courses offered by JNU.

The candidates belonging to SC and ST category only as per the Government of India Schedule, can only claim the benefits of above said reservation. 

The Caste Certificate should clearly state:

(a) Name caste/ tribe of the candidate,

(b) whether the applicant belongs to SC or ST,

(c) District and the State or Union Territory of the applicant’s usual place of residence and

(d) The appropriate Govt of India schedule under which the candidate’s caste/ tribe is approved as SC or ST.

The certificate in support of the claim for reservation benefit(s) must be issued by a Competent Authority.

List of Competent Authorities who can issue the Certificate to SC/ST/OBC(NCL) for JNU Admissions

(a) District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/ Collector/ Deputy Commissioner/ Addl. Deputy Commissioner/ Deputy Collector/ 1st class Stipendiary Magistrate/ City Magistrate/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate/ Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant Commissioner.

(b) Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Addl. Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate.

(c) Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.

(d) Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the Applicant and/ or his family normally resides.

(e) Administrator/ Secretary to the Administrator/ Development Officer (Lakshadweep Islands).

Relaxation in the Qualifying Examination Aggregate

All OBC (NCL) category candidates are eligible for 10% relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination in relation to the open category. The SC/ST and Person with Disabilities (PWD) candidates who have passed the qualifying examination, irrespective of their percentage of marks, are eligible to appear in the Entrance Examination. 

JNU Admission 2026-27: JNU Deprivation Marks Explained 

The deprivation points will be awarded under different heads as per the admission policy of JNU. A maximum of 12 deprivation points can be given to a candidate. The candidates will be awarded the deprivation points as per the following procedure.

JNU Deprivation Marks for Quartile 1 and Quartile 2 

The University has taken the Census of 2011 as the base to classify the districts of the nation in Quartile 1 and 2 by using the following four parameters

1. Per cent female illiteracy;

2. Per cent agricultural workers;

3. Per cent rural population; and

4. Percentage of households having no latrine within the premises.

The candidates can see below the deprivation marks awarded for passing the exams from the Quartile 1 and 2 districts.

All Kashmiri Migrants are eligible for a grant of 05 (five) deprivation points on the production of registration documents.

Certificated Required with JNU Admission Form

Certificates and documents required to be submitted by all candidates selected for admission to various programmes of study at the time of admission/registration.

(i) Two copies of NTA CUET (PG) – 2026 score card. 

(ii) Five sets of Pre-Enrolment Form 

(iii) Eight passport-size photographs

(iv) Two sets of self-attested copies of the Matriculation, Higher secondary, Pre-University or Indian School Certificate or Senior School Certificate (10+2), or an equivalent examination certificate showing the age/date of birth of the candidate.

(v) A Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended

(vi) Two sets of self-attested copies of the statement of marks obtained by the candidate and passing certificate/degree of Senior School, Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree examination etc; or their equivalent examination

(vii) For SC/ST candidates: Two self-attested copies of SC/ ST certificate in the prescribed format in support of the claim for admission against the reserved quota. Candidates should bring the original caste/ category certificate at the time of admission/ registration (Format is as given in Page No. 55).

(viii) For OBC (NCL) candidates: Two self-attested copies of OBC certificate along with recently issued OBC Non-creamy layer certificate. A candidate seeking admission under OBC-NCL category shall produce a valid certificate issued in the Financial Year 2025-26 in terms of DOPT Office Memorandum No.36036/2/2013-Estt. (Res-I) dated 31 March 2016 or as amended from time to time. Candidates should bring original caste/ category certificate at the time of admission/ registration (Format is as given in Page No. 56).

(ix) For PwD candidates: Two copies of Disability certificate in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Medical Authority indicating the nature and extent (including percentage) of Physical Disability in support of their claim for admission against PWD quota. Candidate should bring original Disability as per Disability Act 2016 at the time of admission/ registration (Form No. V, VI and VII as given in Page No. 57 to 59).

(x) For EWS candidates: Two copies of the Income and asset certificate to be certified by an officer not below the rank of Tehsildar in the States/UTs in the prescribed format as given in Page No. 54.

(xi) Migration Certificate (in original) from the Head of the Institution/University last attended:

a) All those candidates who have passed their qualifying examination before 2026 must produce the Migration Certificate from the University.

b) Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination in 2026 and are not in a position to submit the Migration Certificate at the time of admission, should submit the same as early as possible, but not later than 30th October, 2026, failing which the University reserves the right to cancel their admission

JNU Admission Through CUET PG Tie Cases Resolution

In making the JNU admission list based on the marks of the candidates secured in the CUET PG exam, if two or more candidates have the same marks, JNU has prescribed a set process for the Tie Resolution between candidates. The resolution process is given below;

  1. The candidate with higher marks in the Class 12 exam will be called first for admission.
  2. In case the candidates have the same marks even after the above, the candidates having higher marks in Class X will be given preference over others.

The CUET PG 2026 result has been released at https://exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/. The National Testing Agency released the candidates' scorecard and final answer keys with the result.

MBA students who wish to apply for Goel Group of Institutions scholarships through CUET-PG scores will need to secure a rank of 5000 at best.

With a CUET PG score of 110, admission to M.Sc. Mathematics at Delhi University is very unlikely. DU's CUET PG cutoffs for Science courses, including Mathematics, generally range much higher—often above 200–250 marks out of 300 for the General category.
