CUET PG Syllabus 2026 has already been released by NTA. Syllabus PDFs were uploaded online on December 14, 2025. Students must note syllabus of all subjects and paper were uploaded at official website of NTA. Students can download PDF of respective subject online. Syllabus is basic material which helps students for CUET PG prepration. CUET PG 2026 exam is scheduled to be held from March 6 till March 27, 2026. 

NTA releases CUET PG Syllabus subject-wise for the candidates appearing for the master's degree programmes. Last year, CUET PG Exam pattern was revised. As per the latest pattern, candidates will get 90 minutes to solve 75 MCQs instead of 105 minutes. The General paper syllabus of LLB and MBA courses will also be redesigned to cater to skill-based learning. This year, the CUET PG 2026 exam pattern has remained the same as last year.

Q:   Did CUET PG MCA syllabus 2026 change?
A: 

The CUET PG 2026 syllabus for MCA has remained the same as last year. Last year, NTA added some new topics in the CUET PG MCA syllabus for the academic session 2025-2026. There are three major subjects in the CUET PG MCA syllabus, namely, Decision Making and Thinking Skills, Mathematics and Computers. The exam officials added a few more topics in the Computer subject.

The added topics are mentioned below:

  • Computer networks: OSI Model, TCP/IP model, LAN technologies (Ethernet, Token ring), Transmission media – twisted pair, coaxial cables, fibre-optic cables, Flow and error control techniques,
  • Routing algorithms, Congestion control, IP (v4), Application layer protocols (icmp, dns, smtp, pop, ftp, http); Sliding window protocols; Internetworking: Switch /Hub, Bridge, Router, Gateways,
  • Concatenated virtual circuits, Firewalls: Network Security; Cryptography- public key, secret key.
  • Domain Name System (DNS)-Electronic Mail and World Wide Web (WWW). 
  • Database Management System: Data Models, Schemas, and Instances; Three-Schema Architecture and Data Independence; Database Languages and Interfaces; Centralized and Client/Server Architectures for DBMS, Functional Dependencies and Normalization; Algorithms for Query Processing and Optimization; Transaction Processing, Concurrency Control Techniques, Database Recovery Techniques, Object and Object-Relational Databases; Database Security and

Q:   What are the new changes expected to be introduced in General Paper of CUET PG 2026 exam?
A: 

The National Testing Agency released the CUET PG 2026 notification on December 14, 2025. However, there has not been any change in terms of exam pattern, syllabus or application process. The total number of exam cities has decreased. 

Q:   How many city preferences one can fill out in CUET PG Application form?
A: 

For the CUET PG 2026 exam, candidates could fill out a maximum of four city preferences. Although initially, NTA announced the selection of two exam cities, as per a later notification, candidates could choose four exam cities in their present or permanent address.

Q:   How to select courses and university in the CUET PG exam?
A: 
Check out the steps to selct the university programme selection in CUET PG application process:

Step 1: After adding the exam centre city preferences, candidates will then have to select the University/Programme selection.

Step 2: In this section, candidates are required to select the university name first and then select the programme name. Likewise, candidates can select up to four universities and its allied programmes offered. After adding the university programme choices, save the details and move on to the next sections.

Step 3: In this section, candidates need to add the test details. Add the test paper subject code from the drop-down options mentioned in the window. After adding all the respective test paper codes of the university programme list which was selected in the previous step, save the details.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of CUET PG?
A: 

As per the CUET PG marking scheme, four marks are awarded for each correct answer. For each wrong answer, one mark is deducted. There is no negative marking for unanswered questions.

CUET PG Syllabus 2026

CUET PG 2026 syllabus consists of subjects and topics covered at UG level. The syllabus has been framed by the examination conducting authority for the UG passout students to test their depth of knowledge in the particular domain in which they have taken the examination. CUET PG 2026 syllabus is designed covering all subjects covered at undergraduate level.

CUET PG Question Paper Medium

Candidates can go through the information provided here for the CUET PG Question Paper Medium:

  • Humanities, Sciences and Common papers would be bilingual, English and Hindi.
  • Language papers will be in that particular language, except for Linguistics, which will be in English.
  • The candidate can choose the General Paper as a Subject. The Comprehension part of these papers would be in English or Hindi, as chosen by the candidate during registration.
  • Languages papers will be in the concerned language, except Linguistics, which will be in English.
  • M.Tech/Higher Sciences question paper medium will be only English.
  •  Acharya Papers would be in Sanskrit except for Hindu Studies, Indian Knowledge System and Baudha Darshan.
  • The English version of the questions in the question papers, except for languages and Acharya, will be taken as final.

The MSc Microbiology entrance exam difficulty can be described in the range of moderate to high. For instance, the CUET PG examination is conducted in numerous streams and master's subjects; therefore, it is tricky to determine the difficulty of the examination subject-wise. The difficulty level of the exam differs widely across various subjects and slots. The syllabus for the CUET PG papers will be set by the exam conducting authority. The subject experts, after taking all the probable suggestions from all the participating universities, will set the syllabus for the PG level entrance exam on the basis of their undergraduate course curriculum.

Q:   What is the format of the CUET PG exam?
A: 

The CUET PG exam is conducted in a computer-based mode. The format of the questions is objective type. There are 75 multiple choice questions with four options. With the help of a mouse, students have to mark the correct answer option and click on Save and Next to move to the next question. They can also mark a question for review. The CUET PG exam screen will show the total number of attempted, unattempted, and marked for review questions. Candidates can also move forward and backward with the help of mouse.

  •  Each question paper will have 100 MCQ Questions.
  •  Candidate has to choose language English or Hindi at the time of registration for the Part A. (Choose carefully)
  • In case of Shiksha Shastri and Shiksha Acharya the entire 100 questions of the question paper would be in Sanskrit language only.
  • Part B of the Question Paper will be in Sanskrit only for Acharya courses except Hindu Studies (English and Hindi) and Baudha Darshan/Buddhist Studies in English, Hindi and Sanskrit.
  • In case of language papers Part B of the Question Paper will be in the specified language.

Q:   How to Crack CUET PG Examination?

Q:   Does CUET PG syllabus change every year?

Changing the syllabus of CUET PG depends upon the examination authority. However, the chances are very less. The applicants of CUET PG can download and check the previous year syllabus of their applied programme in this page itself.

Factors upon which the CUET PG syllabus might change:

  • One of the most important reasons that the CUET PG syllabus might change is dependent upon any changes made under the NEP- New Education Policy by the Ministry of Education.
  • Changes made by UGC, Master of Human Resource Development in the master's degree programme might alter the CUET PG syllabus.
  • NTA (National Testing Agency), the examination conducting body for CUET PG Examination, can change if the exam authorities feel the significance of adding some important topics in the syllabus to ameliorate the holistic approach of the students towards the subject. 
Q:   How many subjects can be opted in CUET PG while filling the application form?
A: 

CUET PG 2026 examination will be scheduled in March 2026. Aspirants preparing for the CUET PG exam could fill the online application form from December 14 to January 23, 2026. While filling up the CUET PG online application form, test taker can select only one subject in one slot of the examination day. However, from the previous year academic year, they were able to choose a maximum of 20 test paper codes in all.

Before choosing multiple subjects for the examination, candidates are advised to check the minimum education eligibility criteria for the particular course they have applied for. Also, check the university-specific subject criteria for the subject a candidate wants to appear for.

Q:   Is CUET PG 2026 Registration Fee Increased?
A: 

No, NTA has not increased the CUET PG registration fee 2026 for admissions to Master's degree programmes. The registration fees for each category is given below. 

General Category: INR 1,400 for up to two test papers within India; INR 700 for each additional paper.

OBC-NCL/GenEWS: INR 1,200 for two papers; INR 600 for each extra paper.

PwBD Candidates: INR 1,000 for two papers; INR 600 for each extra paper.

SC/ST/Third Gender: INR 1,100 for two papers; INR 600 for each extra paper.

International Applicants: INR 7,000 for up to two papers; INR 3,500 for each extra paper.

Q:   What is the difference between CUET PG MBA and CAT exam?
A: 

CUET MBA syllabus and CAT syllabus are both designed to assess aptitude for management studies.

Key Difference:

CUET PG MBA: This exam covers a wider range of topics, including general knowledge, current affairs etc.

CAT:  It is designed to assess a student problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and ability to handle complex data. 

Q:   What are the factors upon which CUET PG exam difficulty level depends?

The CUET PG exam difficulty level is depicted in the range of moderate to high. CUET PG examination is conducted into various streams and master's subjects. However, the exam difficulty level varies from subject to subject. Here are some factors upon which the CUET PG examination level depends:

First and foremost, the exam difficulty level depends on the preparation done by the appearing candidates. The level of questions asked by the exam authority during the examination. Some questions asked in the examination are highly miscellaneous, which increases the difficulty level of the question paper. Difficulty level factors also depend upon the number of seats the participating university is offering, or whether the number of applicants for the particular subjects is high. Difficulty level also depends on the demand for the course among the students across the country.

For example- MSc Mathematics course is highly popular among the BSc undergraduates; therefore, the number of applicants for the same will be high, and the cut off of MSc Maths will be high of reputed/High NIRF ranking institutes.

Q:   What is the role of NTA in the CUET PG examination?
A: 

NTA which is known as National Testing Agency is the examination conducting body of CUET PG examination. The Role of NTA is confined to registration of candidates, conduct of the test, hosting of answer key, inviting challenges, finalising Answer Keys, preparing and declaring result and hosting Score Card. Merit list will be prepared by participating Universities/ organisations. Universities may conduct their individual counselling on the basis of the score card of CUET (PG)-2023 provided by NTA.

There is only one section A for CUET PG exam. Section B which comprises general awarenessa and knowledge has been removed as per exam pattern. CUET PG 2026 application form process has been concluded. Last date to submit application form was January 23, 2026. Correction window was active till January 30, 2026. Exam is scheduled to be held from March 6 till March 27, 2026 for various courses. No extension has been provided by NTA.

NTA has reduced number of centres from 312 to 292 in CUET PG 2026. In addition, students can choose 4 city choices. Earlier they were provided only 2 options. This time, students will have to answer only A section which is domain specific.

Registration fee for CUET PG 2026 varies for each category. For General students, registration fee is INR 1400 while for OBC, fee is 1200. SC/ST category students ahve to pay INR 1100 as application fee. This fee is for choosing maximum two test papers.

NTA has not provided exact date for CUET PG city intimation slip. In official notification, NTA has said city intimation slip will be uploaded 10 days before exam. As CUET PG is scheduled from march 6, city intimation slip will be uploaded by February 23, 206.
