UPCATET MSc Application Form 2024, Registration: Know How to Apply

There are different eligibility criteria decided by the exam conducting authorities whcih includes both age as well as education for UG courses. There is no age limit for PG and PhD courses.  

For BVSC & H course the minimum and maximum age limit of candidate need to be 17 and 25 by December 31. While for all other course the minimum and maximum age limit of candidates need to be 16 and 22 by December 31. 

Note: Person with Disability (PwD) will be given a relexation of 5 years in upper age limit.  

The UPCATET application fee is required to be paid after filling out the form. otherwise the form will not be accepted by the authorities. Every year, the updated fee structure is given in the UPCATET 2026 notification. But according to the previous year's information, male students who belong to the General & OBC categories have to pay INR 1350. Other students, both male and female, have to pay INR 1100 application fees. 

The application fees need to be paid online via Debit card, Credit card, Net banking, etc. Once the fee is paid, students are required to download the receipt of fees. 

Before applying, candidates must ensure the following points:

• Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to be eligible to appear for the UPCATET Exam for their preferred courses.
• Keep all the important documents ready for the admission process.
• Submit the application fee before the end date.

To complete the UPCATET Application form, one needs to visit the official portal of UPCATET. The application form is filled out online. Students need to submit the application fee before the deadline. It is better to read the important details before filling form and to read the filled information before clicking on submit. 

If a students exceed to last date to submit the UPCATET Application Form then, they need to submit a late fees. The last date to submit the UPCATET Application fee might be extended by the exam officials but nothing is confirmed. Only those who wish to appear for the exam must submit the application form along with the fee before the end date. 

Applicants while filling their application form will be given four choice, PCB, PCM, PAG, and PHS. Students will have to choose any of this choice in the form as per their education qualification. They will be given paper of their choice in the UPCATET exam. There will be no change in the examination hall for any paper under any cicrumstances hence applicants must choose carefully while filling the form. 

Candidates will be given admission to the similar course for which they have appeared in the exam. There will be 200 questions in exam out of them 20 questions will be from General Knowledge topic and rest 180 will be from the group for which they have applied.  

The exam conducting authority has clearly mentioned in the official broucher that "Open & Distance Education" will be considered for educational qualification eligibility criteria of UPCATET. 

Applicants who have completed their education as full time course will be eligible to fill the form and apply online. Only those students are required to fill the application form who fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities. 

Applicants who qualify the UPCATET exam for the respective courses for which they have applied further need to appear in counselling. Applicants need to join counselling process possess the following items i.e Mobile phone, email id, date of birth, roll number and scanned copy of documents. 

The process of counselling includes registration, choice filling, seat allotment, uploading of document, document verification, dowloading of allotment letter and last admission process of the allotted universities.

The last date to submit the UPCATET Application fee is tentative for May 19, 2026, till 5:00 pm. The mode of paying the application fee is online. To successfully submit their admission form of UPCATET entrance exam, pay the fees before the given end date.

The application form of UPCATET is a form through which candidates can appear in the UPCATET exam for their desired category (UG, PG & PhD) course. After filling the form candidates need to pay application fees. Students need to fill the form by visiting official website.

Only those candidates will be issued admit card, answer key & result who fill the application form correctly and upload the image for photo & signature.  

The UPCATET 2026 exam is not complex. The UPCATET paper has 200 questions in total. All questions are MCQ type. The total marks are 800. The mode of the exam is offline, so students write on paper. The exam duration is 3 hours. The language of the UPCATET exam paper is Hindi and English. Students can choose the language they know. This pattern helps students understand the exam easily.

For every right answer, students get 4 marks, and for a wrong answer, 1 mark is subtracted. If a student does not answer a question, no mark is removed. Students must think while answering a question. A better understanding of the UPCATET scoring system helps students who study well and answer carefully.

The UPCATET exam is 3 hours long. This provides sufficient time to answer 200 questions. The exam is held in offline mode at exam centres. Students must use a pen and paper. The UPCATET paper comes in Hindi and English. This helps students choose the language they are more comfortable with. 

UPCATET asks only multiple‑choice questions (MCQs). Every question has four options. Students must choose the right answer. These questions help to analyse the speed and basic knowledge. This type of question is used for undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD courses. The difficulty changes, but the format remains the same. MCQs help students finish the exam on time and cover many topics in one test.
