BHU MBA Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) offers a two-year, full-time MBA and MBA in International Business (MBA-IB) courses through its Institute of Management Studies. It also offers multiple MBA programmes under special courses of study. BHU admission to the MBA programme is completely entrance-based. Candidates shortlisted based on exam scores have to participate in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) followed by counselling.
BHU-affiliated colleges also offer MBA programmes. For admission to BHU MBA (IB) and MBA, students will be admitted based on CAT scores conducted by IIM of the corresponding year, followed by the GD & PI round. The final merit list of selected candidates for BHU MBA admission is prepared based on the following criteria and weightage:
- Qualifying exam: 50% weightage
- Academic record: 20% weightage
- GDPI (conducted by FMS, BHU): 30% weightage

BHU MBA Admission Process 2025: How to Apply?
Banaras Hindu University MBA admission process is given below. The selection is based on CAT score. You need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for admission.
1. BHU MBA Application Process 2025
Candidates can apply online at www.bhuonline.in. General candidates need to pay application fee of INR 2,000 and INR 1,000 for SC/ST students. To register for CAT, follow these steps:
1. Open the official CAT website iimcat.ac.in.
2. Click on 'Register' under the 'New Candidate Registration' tab.
3. Enter name, date of birth, email ID, mobile phone number and nationality.
4. Click on the 'Generate OTP' tab.
5. On successful registration, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number.
6. Verify CAT registration by entering the OTP in the given field.

BHU MBA CUET PG Application Process
- Visit the official website cucet.nta.nic.in and click on the 'New Registration' tab. Read the instructions carefully.
- Fill out the application form with all the mandatory details, such as personal and educational qualifications, etc.
- Upload the scanned photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications.
- Select courses and Universities as per your preference and pay the CUET application fee as mentioned above.
NOTE: Aspirants seeking admission to IMS, BHU need to pay an application fee of INR 2,000.
2. Group Discussion & Personal Interview
Applicants shortlisted based on CAT score are called for GDPI. The schedule for GDPI is released by the admission committee. Moreover, candidates not appearing for the GD or PI on the scheduled date will be disqualified from the admission process.
3. Admission Counselling
Candidates selected are called for a counselling round. Candidates appearing for counselling must bring the original documents. When provisional admission is offered to a candidate, the original documents will be detained by the institute and will be returned after the admission formalities.

BHU MBA admission start with the release of the application form. Apart from CAT application form, aspirants have to apply on BHU IMS admission portal as well. CAT registration 2023 have closed and the exam is scheduled for Nov 26. Moreover, MBA and MBA IB application process 2024 has started at IMS, BHU. The application form was released on Oct 5 and the last date to apply is Jan 3, 2024.
Candidates must carry the important documents with them at the time of GD & PI. These documents are verified by the authorities. The documents required at the time of BHU MBA GD & PI are:
- Photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card / PAN) with a self-attested copy of the respective document)
