BHU Courses & Fees 2026: UG, PG, Doctorate, Certificate Courses

No, CAT is not necessary for MBA at BHU. The university offers a two-year full-time MBA course at the postgraduate level. Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the University (bhu.ac.in) to apply online. BHU MBA admission is based on candidates' performance in the CAT entrance test. The final selection is based on the student's performance in the GD & PI rounds. However, for admission to the MBA special courses of study, candidates can get admission with a valid CUET-PG score. Apart from this, the course aspirants must fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements as well.

BHU cutoff 2025 was released for multiple specialisations. Based on the last round cutoff, the closing ranks varied between 1489 and 14447 for the General AI quota. So, if you belong to the General category, you must target to secure JEE Advanced cutoff rank of up to 14447 or below to secure a seat at IIT BHU for BTech admission. For top branches like CSE and Mathematics and Computing, the maximum required cutoff ranks for admission were 1489 and 1924 in the last round.

CAT is compulsory to take admission in MBA and MBA IB courses offered by the Institute of Management Studies of BHU (formerly known as FMS BHU). Admission to these courses is based on candidates' performance in CAT, GD-PI and past academic records.

However, candidates seeking admission to the MBA courses offered by other departments of BHU are not required to take CAT. Admission to these MBA courses is through CUET PG. These courses include MBA in Food & Agribusiness Management, MBA in Financial Management, MBA in Foreign Trade, and MBA Risk & Insurance.

BHU admission process for UG courses has officially closed .Only the candidates who have appeared for CUET UG were eligible to register for this counselling process.

Banaras Hindu University BTech is offered in different specialisations. It is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. BHU BTech admission is done as per CUET exam scores. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can go to the CUET website to apply. 

The Internship & Placement Committee (IPC) at the Faculty of Law, BHU, takes care of all the placement-related activities at the institute. BHU B.A. LL.B. Placement is initiated each year in the month of July and goes on till the month of May next year. BHU LL.B. Placements start with handing out invitation letters to various firms, advocates and other organisations for the recruitment process. Interested companies submit the completed form and candidates are shortlisted against the requirements mentioned by the organisations. Aptitude tests are also conducted if needed. The interview session for placements starts every year in the month of November. As per the external sources, a major portion of Banaras Hindu University alumni is placed in the Education sector (19%) followed by Research (15%) and Business Development (11%). Yes, the BHU CUET counselling process for both UG and PG courses is carried out in online mode. Candidates have to visit the BHU admission portal to register for the counselling process. The form filling, document upload, and fee payment also has to be done in online mode. Fee payment can be done through credit card/debit card/net banking.

BHU CUET cutoff 2026 ranged from 52 to 200 for admission to various BEd courses as well as an LLB programme. This is the cutoff range for the OBC AI category. As per this range, the most preferred course for admission was B.Ed. in Languages, with the cutoff being 200.

Banaras Hindu University utilizes the national Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) scores for its entire selection matrix. Candidates must register, prepare, and pass this single-window assessment administered by the NTA. No discrete institutional entrance exams are arranged for the Science courses anymore. 

Yes, BHU offers three-year BSc (Hons) in Maths. The course is divided into six semesters. Candidates seeking admission need to appear for CUET conducted by NTA followed by a counselling round. The applications for the same are accepted in online mode (cuet.samarth.ac.in). Moreover, before registration, candidates shall carefully check the course-specific eligibility criteria. The seat intake for this course is 573. Moreover, the fee for the programme is INR 17,050 as per unofficial sources.

Yes, Banaras Hindu University accept CUET score for multiple UG courses, including BA (Hons), BCom (Hons) BSc (Hons), etc. The university is also offering admission to its PG courses based on merit in CUET-PG. Aspirants who meet the eligibility requirements can register on the BHU admission portal for counselling.
