I had an incredible experience at Chandigarh University.

Placements: Most of them was placed last year. The least package is 3 Lacs. Infosys, Optum, IBM, Amazon, Flipkart, Google, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, HP, Dell. Around 70-80 percent of students got internships. The average package is around 4-5 Lacs and the highest is 1.4 crore.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is very good and all the facilities for students are available. In the hostel, the rooms are perfect and clean, also the food is good. All the medical facilities are there in the university. There are many games conducted by the university at state level and national level. Libraries are like 5-star hotels—very luxurious, and most of the books related to every course offered by the university are available.

Faculty: The teachers are very good; most of them are NET qualified. They are very helpful and consider your problems as their problems. Also, most of them are very good listeners and knowledgeable. They can give you a solution to your problems within minutes. The semester exams are not very difficult. The passing marks depend on the class toppers.

Other: I have a huge interest in calculus, so I chose this. The best thing about this is that mathematics is a very interesting subject. There are scholarships if you pass the CUCET exam based on your percentage. Other than CUCET, there are graduation-based scholarships.

Good College, and the Campus Life is Great

Placements: At Chandigarh University, almost 95 percent of students in my batch get placed with a decent package of around 3-6 LPA on average. However, the highest package was around 13.5 lac per annum, while the lowest was around ₹4 lac per annum. Top recruiting companies include Sun Pharma, Deloitte, Serum Institute of India, Lupin, Cipla, and TCS. Almost 75% of students received internship offers from various companies.

Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure at the college is good. We have projectors in every classroom and good Wi-Fi connectivity. There are many small cafeterias on campus, with the largest being Food Republic, which has a lot of shops. The library is centrally located in every block, and medical services are available, including a free ambulance in case of emergencies. The mess food is also good and sports facilities are available including a sports complex outside the campus.

Faculty: The faculty at the college is commendable with teachers being highly knowledgeable. The teaching environment and quality are good, with a relevant course curriculum that prepares students for the future. Semester exams are challenging yet fair and the passing percentage is above 80 percent. Teachers are talented and provide help when asked.

Other: As this is one of the best private universities in North India, it provides good placements to deserving students. Campus life is enjoyable, with many events like Tashan Night happening every month.

Overall, it is a good university.

Placements: Only 60 percent of the students in my batch were placed through campus placements. Companies like HP and Wipro visit universities, but they select only 2 or 3 students. The highest package of the university for CSE students is 30 lacs per annum. And the average is around 3 to 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is excellent. There are different blocks for each and every department. There are well-furnished classrooms and washrooms for students. There is a big central library equipped with books from all the departments. Sports facilities are also there.

Faculty: The faculty of my department is well-educated and qualified in their subjects. They always try to cover the syllabus as soon as possible. They always make sure that no one has any rights. The course curriculum helps students prepare for placements and makes them ready for placements.

Infrastructure and teachers are good but have poor placement.

Placements: Placements at Chandigarh University are average. Only 50 percent of the students in my batch are placed. Many companies visit our university, but they recruit only one or two students out of 200 to 300. Only a few internship opportunities are there.

Infrastructure: The campus of Chandigarh University is so big and well maintained. All the necessary facilities, like medical, Wi-Fi, etc., are available 24 hours a day for students. There is a well-equipped library and lab. The rooms of the hostel are well furnished, and they maintain proper cleanliness there.

Faculty: Teachers were too strict in terms of students. They do not give attendance if a student comes 5 minutes late or more than that. The teaching method used here is simple and easy to understand. Semester exams are neither too difficult nor too easy. Almost 90 percent of students pass it easily.

Absolutely satisfied with the overall system of the university.

Placements: Placements are satisfactory. Many reputed companies visit for Maths students. Students should be given proper instructions for the placement drives. Companies come but physically we do not get to know about them.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Projectors of some classes do not work well resulting in the wastage of time of the lectures. Gaps between chair and benches in some classes is wide which makes it comfortable. Overall infrastructure is good for this Maths department but as compared to other departments, it lacks in a lot of facilities.

Faculty: Faculty of our course that M.Sc. Maths is very helpful, qualified and always ready to help the students. The curriculum is also good but when is comes to exams, there is no overall in the question paper which makes it a difficult. Exam pattern could be improved.
