DTU offers admission to multiple courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels. Admission to the MBA course is conducted through the Common Management Admission Committee (CMAC). A few more recent updates related to Delhi Technological University are as follows:
- The CAT 2026 registrations for admission to the MBA/PGDM course are now closed. Candidates can download the admit card from Nov 4, 2026.
- CAT 2026 exam will be held on Nov 29, 2026.
- UCEED 2027 examination date for admission to the BDes courses is Jan 17, 2027.
DTU Courses and Fees 2026
Delhi Technological University offers many courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels. These courses are mainly from the engineering stream, with a couple of design, management and arts streams as well. DTU BTech is the flagship course offered for a duration of four years in a full-time mode. DTU course admission 2027 is entrance-based for most of the courses. For BTech, the University accepts JEE Main rank, followed by JAC Delhi counselling.
DTU Delhi fees are charged on a yearly basis throughout a course's duration. These fees are subject to an annual increase in upcoming years. Candidates need to pay a portion of these fees to confirm their seat at Delhi Technological University. Candidates are selected based on JEE Main, CAT, XAT, GATE and other state/national level entrance exams.

The highest salary for M.Tech at DTU stood at INR 64 LPA for the academic year 2025. Other than the placements, DTU has been ranked 2nd position in the 'overall' category. In the 'University' category, it was ranked 42nd, while in the 'Engineering' category, it was ranked 30th. Hence, it is considered a good option for MTech. The selection criteria for BTech at DTU is entrance based and states that having a JEE Mains rank is the minimum requirement for final seat allotment. In addition, students must go through the JAC counselling process to get a seat at DTU. After the result of JEE Main, JAC counselling for seat allotment is conducted in four rounds. Additional spot rounds are conducted for vacant seats (if available).

Delhi Technological University Admission Dates 2027
Delhi Technological University admission dates are directly aligned with state/national level counselling schedule. JAC and CMAC counselling dates are applicable on its flagship courses such as BTech and MBA respectively. These counselling dates are scheduled after accepted entrance exam results have been released. For UG level courses, their entrance exams begin around January every year and continue until June.

With a JEE Main rank between 30000 and 40000, it is not possible to get admission to any of the BTech branches for the General AI category. For BTech admission, the DTU JEE Main cutoff 2026 for Round 1 ranged between 12 and 15709 for students belonging to the General AI quota. So, candidates seeking admission must target a cutoff rank of up to 15000 and below to secure a seat at this institute.
Yes, DTU offers admission to candidates also who have AMIE/ AMIS. AMIICHE/ AMIIM/ Grad IETE or those who possess a BSc/ Diploma in Engineering degree. DTU admission for the flagship BTech programme is based on JEE Main scores, and the entire counselling process is conducted by JAC Delhi. The highest international and domestic package recorded during DTU placements 2025 was INR 180 LPA and 85 LPA. Average package recorded was 15.75 LPA.
Candidates who cancel the enrolment after paying the tuition fee before the semester has started. In that case, DTU will refund the tuition fee. Further, if candidate withdrawl their enrolment after paying the tuition fee, and the semester has started. In that case, DTU will not refund the tuition fee except in cases of exceptional unforeseen circumstances mentioned below:
- failure to meet the admission requirements
- lack of residence permit, e.g., if SIRI rejects your application for a residence permit
- pregnancy
Each case will be treated individually. The candidate who belongs to these case are required to submit written documentation before reimbursement can take place. When applying for a refund, candidates are required to enter full name, CPR (if relevant), reasons, and documentation for cancelling your studies. Candidates must also provide their relevant bank details (account number, SWIFT/IBAN codes) for this purpose.

- For BTech, students can apply via the JAC Delhi website, i.e. jacdelhi.nic.in. Registration via JAC Delhi is a two-step online process where students have to fill out the online application form and then make the payment of the application fee. Students should note that JAC Delhi allows additional registrations and changes in the course preference before every round. Read the detailed application process here.
- For BDes, MTech, MDes, MSc, MBA (BA/ FBE/ EIVD), E-MBA, BA, BBA and PhD, candidates must apply via the official website of DTU
- For MBA via DSM and USME, candidates are required to apply via CMAC. Incomplete applications are liable to cancellation.

Step 3: Pay the application fee and submit the form.
Step 4: All candidates must take a printout of the completed form after fee payment since it needs to be carried out during the final admission round. This printed form should be affixed with the same photograph which was uploaded in the online application form.

An admitted candidate can withdraw his/her admission during the counselling period by submitting online request through JAC Delhi portal on or before last
date of withdrawal mentioned in counselling schedule.
a) If the candidate withdraws his/her admission on or before the last date of counselling schedule, his Seat Acceptance Fee (INR 95,000) will be refunded without interest after deducting INR1000 as processing charge.
b) Fee refunds for all withdrawals will be processed within 20 days after last date of withdrawal
Highest number of offers were made in MTech DSC branch followed by AFI branch during the DTU MTech placement drive. The total number of offers made in these 2 branch was 26 and 23. 20 and 19 offers were made in MTech CSE and VLS branch. 17 offers each were made in ISY and STE branch this year.
