On Fees and Eligibility
Q:   Which entrance exam is accepted by DTU?
A:

No, DTU does not conduct any entrance exam of its own for admission to any of the UG, PG or doctoral-level courses. Admission for the flagship BTech programme is based on JEE Main scores and the entire process of counselling are conducted by JAC Delhi. Further, DTU admission to all the remaining courses is mostly based on national/ university-level entrance exams, such as UCEED,  GATE,  CAT,  MAT and CMAT, among others. However, there are a few MBA specialised courses and BBA, admission to which is offered based on the past qualifying exam  (UG level) followed by an interview round.

Q:   Is DTU a good option for MTech?
A:

The median salary for M.Tech at DTU stood at INR 10 Lacs for the academic year 2021 as per the NIRF report 2022. Other than the placements, DTU got ranked on position 35 for Engineering category. Hence, it is considered a good option for MTech. Further, as per the verified students’ reviews on Shiksha, the institute offers all the necessary amenities to the students with respect to well-equipped laboratories with all the necessary instruments, computers and software according to students' needs, a spacious library with all kinds of books to enhance the knowledge of students. Hence, DTU can be considered a decent option for MTech.

Q:   My Class 12 score is 60%. Am I eligible to get admission to the BTech at DTU?
A:

Yes, if a candidate has secured 60% in Class 12, they are eligible for admission to the BTech course at DTU. For BTech admission, a candidate must have passed Class 12 with a minimum 60%  aggregate with PCM and English Core as subjects. The minimum aggregate for various reserved categories is 50%-55%. Hence, whether the candidate is eligible to apply for BTech admission at DTU depends on their reservation category.

However, meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission to the university. The seat allocation is based on the applicant's score in JEE Main, followed by the JAC counselling. In case a candidate fails to secure a seat for BTech at DTU, they can check out other colleges offering ofline and online BTech courses.

DTU review - A needed experience.
Placements: Last year, there were no graduates as the policy mandates a 4-year course, so no recent placement data, but past data indicates a 50% placement record, and Big 4 also come from college. Internship support is present during the time of placement season, but it depends on how good the students are.
Infrastructure: No hostel accommodation available, but the rest of the infrastructure is very modern and nice, with fully air-conditioned rooms, lecture halls, library, and cafeteria. The facilities provided are good. There are various other facilities, but campus size has always been a point of doubt for everyone.
Faculty: Faculty is the best part, with good teachers who have a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience. The curriculum is updated in a way that gives both academic and technological knowledge. There have also been talks of increasing and updating the curriculum to fit more recent developments, and the management is also very open to opinion.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2027

5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Dream tier 1 college DTU.
Placements: Almost everyone is placed in DTU, no one is left. Some are placed on campus, and the rest are placed off campus. The package is good. Mango is the most famous company that comes to DTU every year. FANG internship on campus is very tough to get but you can apply for it or for an off-campus internship.
Infrastructure: In my department in DTU electrical engineering, there are many labs, power electronics, microcontroller, and all. There is a big library in our college. Classrooms are good with full AC. Wi-Fi is available with good speed. Hostel management is overall good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in my course like electrical engineering where you can't do anything without your professor's lectures, books recommended, PPT, and all. This is very helpful, and they provide us curriculum. They are very good. Semester exam is mostly tough, don't expect its easy.
Other: When I was a kid, I really felt how current movies how this TV runs, how things like electrical equipment run. There is a curiosity that makes me choose this course.

The okayish college for design
Placements: For our batch, the placements are not good at all. It is very different from what is being advertised on public platforms and should not be taken for reference. But the situation might get better as my juniors are getting much better opportunities on campus than we got for our batch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure, even after constant construction throughout my duration in college, is not good. On the surface, it might look good, but they lack the bare minimum stuff for it to be considered a good design college in the first place. They spend a lot of money on departments that were never required.
Faculty: Exams here are just formality; the main weightage is given to your big project of the semester for each of the subjects. That will be considered as the priority for the subject. But with a few exceptions, both the faculty and the curriculum are not that good.
Other: The campus life and your peers are where you'll get most of your learnings from. Just do not rely on the teachers in hopes that they will teach something good.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Batch of 2025
Offered by Delhi School of Management, DTU

Delhi Technological University is a perfect brand of learning, growth, and opportunities.
Placements: DTU placement MBA programs place roughly 45 to 55% of students each year, with DSM seeing up to 37 LPA as the top package (average around 9.5 LPA ), while USME sees the highest changes, up to 23 to 37 LPA, with everything near 9 LPA. Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, BCG, KPMG, and core firms. Internships appear much less prevalent, especially for MBA students, but a few students secure them sometimes earning type and up to 40k per month. Roles include business and analytical positions, product manager, analyst, sales, or research roles.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at DTU for the MBA course is quite good. Classrooms are specially well ventilated, and occupied with projectors. Department also has seminar halls for guest lectures, workshop, and presentations which help students gain practical exposure. Library is one of the strong points with a large collection of management books, research papers, journals, and e-resources. Computer labs are also available with updated software and internet access. While the mess food could be better, the library, sports facilities make campus life comfortable and engaging for both academics and extra curricular activities.
Faculty: Faculty is knowledgeable and supported. Curriculum is relevant to the industry. Exams are fair but need regular preparation. This makes the MBA program at DTU a solid choice for students aiming to combined management knowledge with analytical skills.
Other: I chose this MBA business articles course because it offered the right means of management knowledge and essential skills, which are highly relevant in today's data-driven corporate world. DTU placement opportunities for MBA students are not as strong as the technical programs at DTU, and more recruiters focusing on business road should be invited. Did you offer the balance live with academy activities and campus one, making it a memorable experience? The university is famous for its like and guest, which is one of the biggest cultural festivals in Delhi.

Inside of DTU (the 85% quota has disturbed the atmosphere of the college).
Placements: In my course, according to me, last year the placement rate is about 70-80% (if you have a good CGPA, i.e., at least 8+). The average is about 12-13, and the top offer is 33 LPA. Regarding internships, I cannot give you such details. Top companies include Tata, BMW, etc.
Infrastructure: We have smart classrooms and both AC and non-AC hostels with proper ventilation. The classrooms are air-conditioned, and the three-floored library has full Wi-Fi access, although the Wi-Fi might not work properly on the second and third floors. The quality of food given is not so good, but you can't expect it to be that good at 3400 a month for four meals. The sports areas offered by the hostels are not good at all.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and experienced, they are knowledgeable, and if you are into academics, you can learn a lot from them. The course is relevant; in the first year, you might not feel like you are industry-ready, but gradually, they will turn you into that guy. The exams were neither too hard nor too easy, I would say they are moderate. The pass percentage is 35% if absolute or varies if relative.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted a college in Delhi, and at my JEE rank, this is all I get near my home. I would consider the course better if there are people at the same level. People at the same level means if I have scored a percentile of 97.6 in JEE and then I got here, there should be at least others with a 96 percentile in the same course, but you will find people with a 70 percentile too. The fests are good, and the connectivity is fine, not good. Extracurricular activities are at a good stage.

The campus is good. The salary packages are lower in core branches.
Placements: The placement options for core branches are average to low, while the campus environment is decent but sometimes overcrowded. There are a lot of faculty members, and the academic workload is relatively easy. However, very few students secure on-campus internships in biotech; those in technical branches have better chances of landing roles as software development engineers (SDEs), analysts, or consultants, with limited opportunities in core roles.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi connectivity is unreliable, and the labs in my department are either average or below par. The classrooms are generally in poor condition, except for the AB building. The food spots are excellent, sports facilities are adequate, and the hostel accommodations are good, though the mess is not up to the mark. The library is small and often overcrowded, but the available books are satisfactory. Air conditioning works well, but the Wi-Fi issues persist.
Faculty: Most instructors are Ph.D. holders, and the teaching mainly focuses on theory, particularly in core branches. The theoretical approach does not adequately prepare students for the industry, necessitating additional learning outside the curriculum. Semester exams tend to be average in difficulty—not too easy, but not overly challenging either. The passing percentage is around 33% to 35%, and the grading system follows a CGPA format.
