No, CAT is not the only exam based on which admission is granted. GGSIPU accepts the CAT percentile for MBA admission basis on which a merit list of selected candidates is released for the counselling round. Moreover, for the MBA in IT course, the university conducted IPU CET exam is accepted. In case the seats are left vacant after CAT candidates, then the seat allotment is carried out based on the candidate's CMAT scores.

Aspirants who have completed their graduation with a minimum of 50%-60% aggregate are eligible to apply for MBA programme at GGSIPU. Candidates with a 50% score in graduation can also apply provided the requirement of aggregate is 50% or below. For MBA specialisations requiring 60% or above aggregate, candidates need not get admission with 50%.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University offers admission to MBA course through its affiliated college IITM in the full time mode. Candidates seeking admission to GGSIPU must have a valid score in CMAT. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, however, doesn't release CMAT scores in the public from last few years. Candidates having a valid score in are called for the GGSIPU Counselling based on the scores. GGSIPU accepts CMAT scores for admission to the MBA course across other affiliated colleges as well. Yes, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to BSc, BCA, BCom (Hons), B.Ed, BA (JMC), BHMCT, BBA, BA (Hons), BVoc, BPT, BPO, BOT, BASLP, BSc MLT, MSc, MA, MEd, MPT, MOT and MPO courses.
