IPU MBBS Eligibility & Highlights 2025

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University offers a full-time MBBS programme of five-and-a-half-year duration which comprises one year of compulsory internship. All candidates interested in seeking MBBS admission at IPU need to possess a valid NEET UG score. The final seat allotment process is conducted via IPU CET Counselling. The maximum age limit to apply for MBBS admission is 25 years as of December 31 of the admission year, while the minimum age criteria is 17 years. (a relaxation of five years is granted to SC/ ST candidates). The total fee for MBBS programme is INR 24.64 lakh for 66 months. The table below explains the eligibility criteria for the five-and-a-half-year MBBS programme:

IPU MBBS Admission 2025: How to Apply?

The IP University application process is as given below. Those seeking admission can apply online by paying an application fee of INR 1,200. See the steps below to apply online:

Visit website of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University at www.ipu.ac.in and click on the 'Admission' tab and further click on 'Online Admission Form' from the drag-down menu.
Read the instructions carefully, accept the declaration and click on 'Start' to proceed with the registration step of the application process.
Select MBBS from the programme drop-down menu and register with candidate's name, email ID and contact number. Further, click on 'Non-CET' courses because MBBS comes under the 'Non-CET' category courses.
Candidates will receive an application sequence number, user ID and password for future logins and a link to the application form to proceed with further steps.
In the first stage of the application form, enter personal details, such as name, parents' name, age, nationality, etc. Also, enter the present address information along with the permanent address.
Fill in the essential qualification details, including the year of passing and the school/ institution attended.
Upload the required set of documents and pay the prescribed application fee via debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

Really good infrastructure!

Placements: The total batch strength is 100 students. There is no such thing as recruitment companies; individuals can join the army post MBBS or can join a postgraduate course after clearing NEET-PG. A MBBS graduate gets a decent salary of ₹70,000 to ₹1.1 lakh monthly, while a PG graduate gets ₹1.3 lakh to ₹1.5 lakh depending on the branch.

Infrastructure: The college is equipped with all modern and adequate facilities, having a cadaver-to-student ratio of 1 per 25 students, which is one of the highest. The mess food is just okay. Air conditioning and fridge should be allowed, as there are separate electric meters. Hostel staff will try their best to charge you fines without even a notice, so be careful.

Faculty: All the faculty members are either ACMs faculty or base hospital doctors who give their 100 percent. The first and second year are more theoretically oriented, while the third and final year is clinical subjects with postings starting from the second year onwards.

The True Reality of MBBS College.

Placements: After the 5th year/internship, students are eligible for jobs. They can easily secure placements in private and government hospitals and can also apply for post-graduation. The internship salary is around ₹24,000, and after placement, salaries start at around ₹1,00,000 per month.

Infrastructure: The hostel provides single, double, and triple sharing rooms. The meal quality is standard and hygienic, with a varied and high-quality menu. The library is one of the best and most well-equipped in the country. The classrooms are large, air-conditioned, and equipped with whiteboards.

Faculty: Our faculty members are highly knowledgeable and well-qualified. A strong focus on studying is required for overall academic success and passing the semester. The faculty is very helpful and supportive, all being doctors themselves and sufficiently qualified. The course curriculum mainly emphasizes clinical practice.

Other: The college organizes an annual fest consisting of various talent shows and sports events.

Average infrastructure but best quality teachers.

Placements: There are 60 seats per batch in my college and MBBS courses. You can take admission via the NEET-UG entrance exam. It does not have very good infrastructure but the faculty is from top institutions like AIIMS DELHI, MAMC, etc. Our college has the best teacher-to-student ratio. Every teacher can have word-to-word conversations with each student, as there is less strength in our batch.

Infrastructure: It does not have many facilities and does not have very good infrastructure. There is a limited Wi-Fi connection. The library is present, but it is not open 24 hours a day. It will remain open until 9 p.m. For every subject, there are different labs. There is a college canteen. There are various food shops outside the campus. And changing out places to enjoy. Limited sports facilities are present.

Faculty: Teachers are from top institutions like different AIIMS Maulana azad medical college new Delhi, Jipmer, etc. Teachers are skilled and very knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very great, as teachers will teach in a very friendly manner and have interactive classes.

Other: Medical college will help you become a great doctor. MBBS is a very vast course so it is important to have good college life friends and helpful teachers. There are very many fun events in college on a regular basis, such as the annual fest of our college, ARRHYTHMIA, which is very great. The crowd is not that good. Student-to-student interaction is good.

We have NEET PG toppers 2023 from our college.

Placements: Hi, my name is Arun. I am currently in my second year. A total of 170 students are admitted for the 2021 batch. Safdarjung Hospital is associated with our college, which has the highest number of patients per day. The doctors from this college are very reputed. Recently, our hospital performed robotic heart surgery, which made it into the news.

Infrastructure: Classrooms and the college have central air conditioning. Wi-Fi is provided in the lecture theater but not in the hostel. The food available in the mess is good. We have well-maintained labs on campus. Hostel rooms are double-seater, with a water cooler facility on each floor. You can bring your own AC into the room. No electricity bill is charged.

Faculty: Teachers are very supportive, and lecture rooms have smart boards. The PGs and SRs are very helpful. Exams are held after 3 months, and finally, a professional exam is held at the end. Semesters and professional exams are easy to clear. Just make yourself a bit attentive.

Other: We have annual fests, sports days, and lots of extracurricular activities held here. The surrounding area is all over the place, easily accessible by Metro at 200 m from the campus.

It is a good government college.

Placements: Internships are mandatory for all students. The average stipend offered ranges between Rs.25,000 - Rs.30,000 per month. After completing the course, students can join as a junior president or can go for post-graduation.

Infrastructure: We have well-developed rooms. They have Wi-Fi. Electricity is available 24X7 in our college. The food served in the mess is good. Our college has a peaceful environment for students to study and prepare for other competitive exams like NEET, PG, etc. The mess provides a variety of food items.

Faculty: We have the best faculty members. They are well-experienced. They are from all over India. They make us understand all concepts. Along with your academics, you can also focus on your higher studies.

Other: It is a medical college. Our college provides opportunities for research programs. It provides scholarships. Fests are held in our college. Our college conducts many events like music, cultural events, and dramas. I would recommend joining this college.
