NEET 2025 Biology Analysis

Biology was the easiest section in the question paper of NEET 2025. However, a few questions were unexpectedly challenging. The question types included multi-statement and match-the-column, assertion-and-reasoning. Diagrams from the NCERT textbook were also used in a few questions. A significant portion of the questions focused on the units covering Genetics and Biotechnology. According to experts, the section included a balanced mix of factual, conceptual, and analytical questions. Higher weightage was given to be Class 12 syllabus.

NEET 2024 Biology Analysis

Biology questions in NEET 2024 were mostly NCERT-based. Questions were mostly from topics such as Human Physiology, Genetics, and Plant Physiology. Unlike previous years, this year's question papers featured six figure-based and three direction-based questions, along with 30 'match the following' and 17 statement-based questions. As 30 per cent of the questions were of the 'match the following' type, some students found the paper a bit lengthy.

NEET 2023 Biology Analysis

NEET 2023 was conducted on May 7 from 2 pm to 5:20 pm and on June 6, for Manipur candidates. According to the student's reactions for the NEET 2023 examination, it was observed that the overall difficulty level of NEET 2023 was easy to moderate. Chemistry was the toughest section this year. Physics and Biology were of moderate level of difficulty. Owing to the lower level of the exam, the NEET 2023 cutoff was higher than the last year.

NEET 2022 Biology Analysis

Although the Biology section carried the highest weightage, the difficulty level of the section was the easiest among the total three sections. The questions from the Zoology section were of easy to moderate difficulty level. This section was mainly dominated by questions on the topics of Animal Husbandry, Biotechnology, Human Reproduction and Biomolecules.

The Botany area was considered to be moderate to tough. The majority of the questions were on the topics like Genetics, cell and cell cycle, diversity of life and structural organisation of plants. Check the detailed NEET 2022 analysis here.

Approximately 68-70 questions in the examination are directly from the NCERT books. Around 8-10 questions in the examination can be solved if you have solved the NEET question papers of previous years. Another 8-10 questions in the NEET Biology question paper are from the advanced level.
