GATE results will be accepted by IIT Bombay for admission to the M.Tech programme. Candidates must secure at least 60% of the total marks (55% of the total marks for SC/ST/PwD category) in any of the following degrees: BE, B.Tech, B.Sc., Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning, M.Sc., MCA, MBBS, M.Pharm, B.Pharma, BDS or a recognised qualification equivalent to BE or B.Tech.

No, it’s not compulsory for regular scholars to stay in the hostel for studying at IIT Bombay. Also, not every student gets a hostel facility. However, students who get enrolled in summer and winter internships have to stay in a hostel during the tenure of their internship. There are a total of 199 seats for the BTech Computer Science and Engineering course at IIT Bombay. Students are admitted as per JEE advanced scores and the sanctioned seat intake. The seat allotment procedure is carried out through JoSAA counselling. It must be noted that the mentioned seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. Yes, students from all the streams can apply for B.Des programme at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Indore. They can fill the Joint seat allocation form if they have cleared the UCEED 2026 Entrance Exam.

UCEED 2026 counselling will be conducted by IIT Bombay. The counselling process will have five rounds.
UCEED 2026 Joint Admission Process will not have any spot rounds. If there are any spot counselling rounds, it will be notified.

No, IIT Bombay will not send the hard copies of CEED 2026 Scorecard. The scorecard of CEED will be issued only in online mode. The candidate has to download it from the CEED admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in. To download the scorecard, log in by entering your email id and password.Â
