Review of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
Placements: The placement ratio in my branch (MAE) is quite impressive, and 60-70% of students are getting placed. Even for core mechanical roles, the minimum package does not go below 5 LPA. In fact, I would say that the placement scenario for the mechanical course here is better than that of the CSE branch in many private colleges.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are quite decent, with well-maintained classrooms equipped with AC. Currently, the only exception is the mechanical branch, which doesn't have AC yet. The hostel food used to be exceptionally tasty. Even though I am a day scholar, I often eat with my friends in the hostel because the food is genuinely delicious.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and highly knowledgeable. Most of them have completed their PhDs from premier institutes like IITs, so there is no doubt about the depth of their expertise. Semester exams are generally not too difficult to score well on. However, if we are in branches like Mechanical or ECE, we may need to put in a bit more effort compared to other branches. They say that with consistent hard work, even achieving a 10 CGPA is absolutely possible.
Other: Campus life is quite good. Although the campus area is relatively small compared to other JAC colleges. In my branch, there are around 120-130 students. The nearest metro station is near Kashmere Gate, and it takes barely 5 minutes to reach the college from there. The college has a wide range of societies, and we are encouraged to explore and get involved in as many as we would like. Personally, I have not been very active in other societies, as I have primarily focused on contributing to the training and placement cell, which is not categorised as a society.

It has a decent campus and faculty, but limited core opportunities for mechanical students.
Placements: In my course, almost everyone got placed. The highest package is 1 crore per annum. The average package is 20 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA. Roles like software engineering and software development are offered. Approximately 2% of students got internships at Microsoft, and 36 students at Wells Fargo. Top recruiting companies for our course are Google, Wells Fargo, Infosys, Tata Motors, and Tata Advanced.
Infrastructure: There are two hostels, Krishna and Kaveri, with accommodation for 300 to 400 students. Rooms are allotted on the basis of distance. There is a facility of Wi-Fi and a common room for study purposes. The food quality is good. A variety of food is served for breakfast. Milk is constant, and cornflakes. There is no foundation.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They explain very well. Lab sessions are also conducted, and they use a board for teaching purposes. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Some companies allow for an industrial visit. There is no difficulty in college exams. The pass percentage in every subject is 45%.
Other: There are good placements in my course, so I chose it. There is hands-on experience in labs and cutting-edge technologies. Lab equipment is outdated, and the course structure is almost theoretical. Some events are organised by the college. There are 3 fests, i.e., technical, cultural, and sports fest. There is good connectivity 500 meters from the old Delhi railway station. Many scholarships are available.

Review of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women.
Placements: I am a fresher in the B.Tech. MAE department. There is no recruitment for the first years but as far as I know about the placement of my college, it's pretty good—better than most of the Delhi colleges. The average package for my department is around 16–18 lacs. However, students of the mechanical department mostly also participate in technical departments. All good companies come to the college, like Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Zomato, Swiggy, etc. Some of them allow computer science departments or tech departments only. But most of them give equal opportunities to all. Departments. Recently this year, a student in the 4th year of the CSE branch got the highest package of 1 crore annually.
Infrastructure: To be honest, despite such a big college as JAC Delhi, IGDTUW has the biggest demerit as infrastructure. The college is very small. Buildings are not in good condition. The old building needs preparing and needs to make a sports arena. Hostel buildings are good, spacious, and big. Every floor has a fridge and induction.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and coordinated with us. The curriculum is well planned accordingly. At the start of every year, we are provided with a whole-year datesheet of holidays, exams and all the events and fests. Curriculum is relevant and parallel to all other engineering colleges. Midterms are quite easy but the endterms are really a bit tough and tricky. No cheating. Just sit silently, single on your bench, and do your work.
Other: The reason I chose this course is because I got it according to my rank; there was nothing better for me. But now I started enjoying mechanical tools and machines. The best part of the mechanical department is the HOD, who is very supportive. College placement and reputation are very good. So most of the companies come. The infrastructure is totally bad and the campus size is very small. Campus is more for studying and less for fun and events.

The college has great learning and placement support.
Placements: Around 80-85% of students are placed. The highest package is 40 LPA. The average is around 6-7 LPA, and the lowest is 3.4-4 LPA. Top recruiters include Adobe, TCS Digital, Maruti Suzuki, ZS Associates, Hero, Siemens Energy, and Infosys. Some students also secured public sector roles through GATE. Approximately 40-50% of students secured internships, either through campus or external companies like DRDO, Siemens, Celebal Technology, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs. I interned at Celebal Technology as a software engineer intern. The top roles are software developer, data analyst, business analyst, and core Engineering roles.
Infrastructure: The MAE Department at IGDTUW is well-equipped with modern labs, smart classrooms, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The library is spacious, with access to technical books and digital journals. Hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms, laundry services, and 24/7 security. The mess food is hygienic and improves with feedback, while the canteen offers a variety of snacks and meals. Medical facilities include an on-campus dispensary with a visiting doctor. The campus also provides good sports infrastructure, including courts for badminton, basketball, and a well-maintained sports ground.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is well-structured and covers both mechanical fundamentals and aspects of automation. Semester exams are moderately difficult. With regular study and understanding of concepts, students can score well. 80-90% of students pass.
Other: The campus is fully equipped with all the amenities, and being called a small campus, the facilities are no less than those of larger area campuses. There is so much greenery everywhere, showcasing great love for nature, and it helps students relieve themselves and get healed by nature. The college provides all kinds of fests, such as technical fest, cultural fest, sports fest, hackathons, seminars, farewell meet, and alumni meet.

Prominent very good college with great placements and faculty members are very good and supportive.
Placements: At least 75-80% of students are placed. Rest of the students went for their higher studies. Top recruiting companies are Tata Motors, Hero Honda, Flipkart, Amazon, Microsoft, Mortell, Technip, ITC, and Adobe. Top roles offered are designing, management, production management, and data handling. The highest package is 55 LPA, the lowest is 6 LPA, and average is 10 LPA - 12 LPA. Many students got internships in DRDO, at least 79-75% got internships in the above mentioned companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average not very luxury but good for the students. It provides free Wi-Fi for the students. Labs are very well maintained. Classrooms are very spacious, not all the classes are air-conditioned but many of them are. Library is very good. We have 24X7 open computer center. I am a day scholar so I can't say anything.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. They are very supportive in helping students with their doubts, projects, and career related problems. They are very approachable as well. They are very knowledgeable in their respective subjects. They provide students with very good notes as well. Course curriculum is very relevant and makes students industry-ready as well as interesting. Semester exams are quite difficult, one has to prepare very well.
