I am pursuing Biotechnology Engineering at MNNIT Allahabad.
Placements: Our college has a good placement ratio. The highest package is 28 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. Most students receive a package of 10-12 LPA, which is our average package. Almost 90% of students get placed in good companies
Infrastructure: Our infrastructure is not so well maintained, and facilities are also not very good. Only first-year and final-year students get luxury hostels, while the rest are given normal or average hostels. The mess food is good, but only vegetarian food is available.
Faculty: Our faculty members are very highly educated and have studied at reputed institutes. Some professors are very helpful and have a unique style of teaching. They mainly focus on core subjects. They support students in pursuing higher studies. Exams are of moderate to hard level.
Other: Our main cultural fest is Culrav, and the technical fest is Avishkar.

Absolutely satisfied with the college .
Placements: Around 90% of the batch was placed in the past year, and this year's placement season is ongoing. The highest package achieved in biotechnology was 18 LPA, and the average was around 11 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, PwC, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, and financial companies like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Stanley visited our campus for placements. From biotechnology, 3-4 people got on-campus internships.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure is still developing, while the hostel infrastructure is good. First-year hostels have badminton courts, common rooms, TV rooms, table tennis, parks, etc. The whole campus has a Wi-Fi network which works with a proxy. Some hostels lack Wi-Fi, but all hostels have LAN connections. First-year and final-year hostels have lifts.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, and all the teachers are well-qualified and have great knowledge. The course curriculum is relevant to the branch; it helps students gain good knowledge. Almost every student passes the exams; some semesters are tough while others are moderate and easy to increase the GPA.
Other: I chose this prestigious college for its top-tier ranking among the NITs and biotechnology because of its balanced academic schedule and ample free time compared to other branches, so you get time for extracurricular activities as well. The campus buzzes with vibrant events like Culrav-Avishkar, the annual techno-cultural event that attracts massive participation, and Udbhav, the youth and entrepreneurship fest, which inspires students with insights into the journey of entrepreneurship. College connectivity is good from both the airport as well as the railway station in Prayagraj. Students here also get many scholarships.

The college is very good. It provides a good social life.
Placements: 95% of the students were placed in our college. The highest package in the college was in the CS branch of 1.18 CR, and the average package in our college is 19,00,000. Recruitment companies in our college include Google, Facebook, Accenture, consultancies, analytics software, and IT firms.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available in our college or department is quite good, but the buildings are quite old. They should be more spacious, and the campus is quite decent. Also, there are Wi-Fi facilities in classrooms, the library, and hostels. You can get Wi-Fi everywhere in the hostel. There are beds, Almira, washroom facilities, sweepers, balconies, and medical facilities. Also, you are provided with courts like badminton courts and table tennis courts in the hostels. There is also a night canteen in our hostel. Yes, the facilities are good.
Faculty: The academic workload in our college is quite manageable and challenging for students. The institute maintains a high standard in terms of performance, and students are expected to meet it. The evaluation system in our college for one semester includes two exams: one is mid-semester, and the other is end-semester, in which assignments, lab work, and practicals are performed by students. A student can easily pass the semester exam in our college if they go through the professor's notes because nothing comes out of the notes. If students go through the notes, they will perform very good score.
Other: Our campus allows students to connect over common interests, from academic clubs to cultural groups to sports, along with a range of social activities like parties and campus events that create a sense of community. Many amendments help students feel comfortable and supported in both their academic and personal lives. Campus housing is often convenient, especially as it is close to classes, libraries, and other resources. Our college provides many events like Kalra, Avishkar, and Swagat for the freshers, and many more events happen to engage their social life.

Good for placements because out of all NITs, our college has reported better placements.
Placements: Last year, approximately 50% got placed from BT. This year, the situation might improve. The highest placement was from Deutsche Bank, approximately 19 CTC. Mostly, consultancy companies are good for placement in this branch. Top roles include Data Analyst, Business Analyst, and Software Developer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Mess food is okayish, only veg. The library has too many rubbish rules, like you can't take two notebooks inside. You have to leave your bag outside and carry your laptop, charger, notebook, bottle, and everything with your hand. Sports are good, but not much help from above. Canteen serves veg with egg only. Medical consultation is free, but medicine has no reimbursement.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. The curriculum is good, but it can get a bit hectic sometimes. The biotech curriculum is a bit tough. You will get enough time to focus on other skills like development or consultancy roles or anything that you like. Many are preparing for civil services and also for GATE and CAT exams for MBA. These are also other options that can be taken while you are in college.
Other: Less hectic schedule. Enough time to do some other things.

This college is known for its placements among MNITs.
Placements: MNNIT is known for its placements. This college has a very good placement record with an average package of 20.47 Lacs per annum being offered in 2023. There are more than 400 companies visiting this college for recruitments. There are almost 95% of the student getting placed ever year. In the previous year, 6 students got placement with a domestic package of 83 LPA and an international package of 1.18cr.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is good as compared to the other NITs but the infrastructure of the hostel is old. There is a new hostel construction which was initiated last year. The food quality is neither too good nor too bad. On some days when the food is bad, you can order from outside. There are many sports available in our college such as cricket, football, hockey, martial arts etc.
Faculty: Some professors are good while others just teach and leave. There is a new curriculum started from 2022 which is known as New Education Policy (NEP -2020). There are two exams in each semester, one is mid semester and other is end semester. If you study 5-6 days before the exams, you can easily get good marks.
Other: There are so many fest organized in our college. The main fests are the cultural and the technical fest. Cultural fest is known as culrav and tech fest is known as avishkar. This year they invited Mohit Chauhan in the cultural fest and in tech fest they invited many speakers including Suhani Shah (magician).

Placement of this college is very good.
Placements: Hello, I am Ankush Rajput (registration number: 20220010). I am pursuing my B.Tech. degree at MNNIT Allahabad, which has had brilliant placement in the past few years. In fact, the core branch, which is Bio-Technology, to which I belong, has an average package of 12.5 LPA and a median package of 8.6 LPA in previous years (2022-2023). About 89.3% placed I in the Bio-Technology branch. The chances of an internship in biotechnology are very low; in fact, only one student got an internship in consulting. The top recruiting companies in our branch are Adobe, Country Delight, Cognizant, Ericsson and D. E. Shaw. The majority of Bio-Tech is placed in consulting, and some is in software.
Infrastructure: I chose the biotech branch because of their placement in the biotech branch at MNNIT Allahabad. Course content is very limited, so I can easily manage extra-curriculum activities with this. I think practical knowledge will be improved for the betterment of the subject. In my course, there are approximately 3–4 classes in each subject, which happens in a sufficiently large classroom and there are also 1-2 labs scheduled in a week where practical facilities are very poor. There are a very small number of books in the library related to biotechnology. Wi-fi is present in both the classroom and the library, which provides good speed. Currently, I live in a Patel hostel, in which two rooms are present. There is very little difference between small and big rooms. In each room, only two students lived, which I think is sufficient for two students. For internet, there is both Wi-Fi and LAN present, which provide a very good speed of approximately 10 Mbps. The breakfast, lunch and evening snacks are good, but the dinner is bad. The dispensary is located very far from the hostel but they have an ambulance facility, which is very good. There is not very much ground present on campus.
Faculty: The teacher of my branch is a subject specialist because, when I came to college, I had very little interest in the biotech branch but with the help of faculty members and their teaching style, I developed an interest in the biotech branch. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant, in which 20 marks are for the midterm examination, 40 for the end semester and the remaining marks are for the T.A. and quiz. There are a total of eight semesters in four years of college. Semester examinations are not very difficult. The passing percentage is 35%.
Other: I chose the Bio-Tech branch because of their placement in MNNIT Allahabad. The course content is very limited, which I think is the best thing about this course. I think practical knowledge will be improved for the betterment of the subject. There are few events and fests.

Should I enroll in MNNIT Allahabad or not!
Placements: 95 percent of the students were placed. The highest package was 40 lacs pa, the lowest was 5 lacs pa and the average was 8 lacs pa. 3 percent of students got internships at Goldman Sachs. The top roles offered in my course are mostly industrial-related. But most students do code and prefer to go into the software industry.
Infrastructure: The biotechnology lab contains a lot of equipment, like microscopes, laminar spectrophotometers, and incubators. Classrooms are decent. 1st year hostel rooms are really big and they are shared by 3 or 4 students. Second- and third-year hostels are double-sharing and have really small rooms. Final-year students get the new 13-floor hostel, with each student getting a single room.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and helpful at all times. The course curriculum is relevant for our batch since NEP was introduced. Exams are fairly difficult. Pass percentage is 33 percent. The teachers in biotechnology are really helpful and guide you throughout.
Other: I was always interested in biology but was not interested in MBBS. So I decided to do a B.Tech. in biotechnology. A bigger and better lab would improve the practical sessions of our course. The college has a cultural fest called Culrav, which is pretty fun. There is also a techfest called Avishkar, in which hackathons are conducted. The coding culture is really good here. But overall, the student life at MNNIT is pretty boring. The location of the college is one factor that adds to it.

Good placements and good college life.
Placements: Placement sessions are really good and multiple students sit in same placement sessions like along B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA and even few Ph.D. students also sit for placements. Goldman usually hires 12 students at a package of around 22 LPA and big firm like JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley visit the college. Coding companies come more in comparison to companies hiring for business analyst. Other recruiters are capegimini, exl, thoughtworks, zs associates and well fargofew. They hire in range from 6 to 10 LPA maximum. Sometimes, startups really give very good offers for business analyst role with a decent package of around 10-12 LPA.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are okay. There are some small classes for tutorials which are held in small compact rooms. Rest infra is good. The library is big enough and it provides all the facilities. Wi-Fi speed is good. You will not face any issue.
Faculty: In 1st year, professors are strict for Physics and Chemistry. They have really bad grades. Most of the people in my batch got C and D grades in Physics and Chemistry. So you really have to pay attention to the classes to score well and prepare well from the books. Exams are quite tough. Rest subjects are not so lengthy and professors are chilled too. It depends on the branch you have opted for, except for civil, mechanical and electrical. Chemical engineering is the best branch. Mechanical and electrical have hectic schedule. The course has vast curriculum and lots of assignments. Old professors show no mercy over students. Extra classes make the schedule more hectic.
Other: Don't compare NIT to IIT because they receive a lot of funding. Events are also conducted. Moreover, funding is less. You can win huge amount like 25k in quizzing and gnosis club, literally the club receives maximum funding. Dance clubs are nice. Multiple committees are there like Marathi, Rajasthan, benagali, Bhangra western, etc. Drama is nice. We have multiple committees like darpan, unity, core drama, comprising of 1 year, 2nd, 3rd and final year.

I don't think so. Biotechnology is a branch in B-Tech. In AKTU, there is a separate paper for Biology students, and they can enrolled in B-Tech Biotechnology.

I am sorry to say but admission in MNNIT is done through JEE Mains only. Also, the candidate should opt for PCM in class 12th. All the best.
