PU LLB Entrance Exam 2026: Notification (OUT SOON) Dates, Registration, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

The PU LLB entrance exam is conducted by Panjab University for admissions to three-year LLB courses and five-year BA LLB and B.Com LLB offered at its Department of Law and constituent colleges. The exam was held in a pen-paper-mode test in three languages i.e. English, Hindi, and Punjabi. The PU LLB Exam had three sections - Current Affairs and GK, Legal Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability and English. The PU LLB question paper included a total of 100 objective-type questions that had to be answered in 90 minutes. As many as 480 LLB seats are offered through the law entrance exam.

Candidates seeking admissions through PU LLB should fulfill the eligibility criteria for the course as under:

• Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or master’s degree in any discipline from Panjab University or any other University that is recognized by the Bar Council of India and Panjab University.
• They should have secured at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Backward Class/ Persons with Disability have been given 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks i.e. they need to have 40% marks in their qualifying degree.

Panjab University will release the PU LLB application form online at puchd.ac.in. The application form is for admission to the 3-year LLB program offered by participating colleges. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for the program must apply on or before the last date. When filling out the application form, candidates must fill in only genuine and factual information, as details will be verified during the counseling process. Any candidate found to be forging information is disqualified.

Steps to fill out the PU LLB 2026 application form

• Click on the admission link on the admission portal
• A registration form will open
• Complete the registration process by entering details like name, email ID, mobile number, graduation registration number, etc.
• After completing the registration process, log in to the newly created account and fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
• Next, pay the application fee. The fee can be paid in 1) online mode or 2) offline - download the e-challan from the admission portal and pay the fee at a nearby SBI branch.
• Finally, upload essential documents like photographs and signatures in the prescribed format and submit the application form.

When preparing for the exam, the candidate must strictly follow the syllabus outlined for the entrance exam. This is because questions in the exam will be asked from topics that are included in the PU LLB syllabus. Candidates are advised to refer to the syllabus for the current academic session only and not use the previous year's syllabus.

PU LLB Admit Card 2026 will be released at least 15 days before the exam. Candidates who successfully fill the application form will be issued the admit cards. Without PU LLB Hall Ticket candidates won't be allowed to appear in the PU LLB Entrance Exam. The PU LLB 2026 admit card mentions exam information like the date and time of the exam, roll number, and the name and address of the allotted exam center. The candidate can download the admit card by entering the credentials. On the day of the exam, the candidate was asked to bring with them a valid photo id proof along with the admit card.

2. A log-in window will open
3. Enter login ID and password 
4. On log-in, the admit card will be displayed in downloadable pdf format
5. Download and take a printout.
