VIT is one of the best private university offering Engineering and various other courses to students. Both are best universities and are incomparable. To get admission to VIT, candidates must have valid scores in VITEEE,  VITMEE,  VITREE, and other entrance exams.

The institute conducts VITEEE for BTech admission, VITMEE for M.Tech admissions and VITREE for PhD admission. The institute accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc., for MBA course. However, admission to a few other courses, including BSc, BSc (Hons), BCA, BCom, MSc, MCA, among others, is based on the aggregate obtained by the candidates in previous qualifying degree/ exam (merit-based). After passing the entrance exam, aspirants are called further rounds of selection. Shortlisted aspirants need to come for counselling and document verification round. 

The VIT Vellore CSE average package is yet to be released on the official website. However, the overall VIT Vellore average package offered during the 2024 placement drive stood at INR 9.90 LPA. The same is tabulated below:

VIT Business School, VIT Vellore, eligibility criteria vary depending on the course chosen by the students. Students wishing to enrol into the courses offered at the institute can check the following table to know about the minimum eligibility required:

VIT Vellore accepts VITEEE cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission to the BTech specialisations. However, the authorities did not release the VIT Vellore VITEEE 2024 cutoff online, and it was only accessible to candidates who appeared for the entrance exam. VIT Vellore's cut off depends on several factors and will be used in the preparation of the merit list for the counselling and admission process.

Students with 65-75 marks out of 120 will have a fair chance of getting admissions through VITEEE 2023. The cutoff for admissions will be prepared based on various factors related to the entrance exam. However, it is to be noted that only those candidates who secure a rank of up to 1 Lacs will be eligible for admissions into VIT Vellore and Chennai campuses. Those students with a rank above 1 Lacs will be able to apply for admissions into the VIT Andhra Pradesh and Bhopal campuses.

A total of 14044 offers were made in 2025 including 3499 Dream, 3563 Super Dream and 6982 Regular offers from 868 participating companies. The highest package offered during VIT Vellore placements 2025 stood at INR 1 Cr per annum. 

The VIT Vellore highest package offered during the 2025 placement drive stood at INR 1 Cr per annum LPA. Earlier, the highest packages offered to the batch 2024 was INR 88 LPA. Gong back to 2023 placements, it was NR 1.02 Cr per annum.
