VIT Vellore MBA Eligibility & Highlights 2026
VIT Vellore MBA course is a full-time two years course. The PG-level programme is available in five specialisations. MBA at VIT Vellore is designed with a curriculum for Applied Learning (CAL) and executes in a trimester pattern with a Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS). Students can avail of credit transfer options to foreign universities and foreign internships as per their choice. Also, the course is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
VIT Vellore MBA admissions are decided on entrance basis. The accepted entrance exams for MBA admissions are the VITBEE, CAT, XAT and MAT entrance exams. Candidates with high scores in CAT entrance exam will be considered for early admissions. Interested candidates can apply for VIT Vellore MBA after meeting the below eligibility criteria:

Students have to meet the VIT Vellore course eligibility to get admission in the university. The requirements and minimum percentage may change depending on the programme and specialisation. The common eligibility however, is as below:

Admission to VIT BTech course is based on VITEEE score, followed by a counselling round. However, admission to a few other courses, including BSc, BSc (Hons), BCA, BCom, MSc, MCA, among others, is based on the aggregate obtained by the candidates in previous qualifying degree/ exam (merit-based). VIT is well known for its BTech placements. It offers good placements every year for BTech course, especially the CSE and ECE branch. According to the the unofficial online sources, the VIT Vellore CSE avearge package offered to the BTech batch 2025 stood at INR 8.13 LPA. The median package was INR 6 LPA. A total of 315 CSE students secured the salary of more than INR 20 LPA in the academic year 2024-25.

Yes, MBA is a two-year course divided into four semesters. Vellore Institute of Technology offers MBA in six specialisations, namely Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, Human Resource Management, General Management and Production and Operation Management. MBA course is designed with a Curriculum for Applied Learning (CAL) and executes in a trimester pattern with a Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS).
