Review of IIT Kharagpur.

Placements: Around 80 percent of students get placed in IIT Kharagpur M.Tech Hydraulics. The average package is around 13 to 14 LPA, and around 70-75% of students get internships in firms/companies. Top roles are hydraulics engineer, research and development engineer, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIT Kharagpur is very good, as it has high-speed Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi), and it also has many labs that are very good and well-maintained by the college. The mess food is also very good and hygienic, and the hostels are also well-maintained.

Faculty: Teachers at IIT Kharagpur are very nice and good for students, as many of them hold PhDs or master's degrees in their field. They are well-experienced in their respective fields, and they make the students industry-ready, so they don't have to suffer.

It is the first IIT to be established and has good faculty members and infrastructure.

Placements: Maximum students around 90% got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 14 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Maharatna companies like IOCL, PGCIL were the top recruiting companies visited the campus. A top role offered is a civil engineer. The highest salary package offered in our course is 14 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 6 LPA. In our course, students don't undergo any internships.

Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. LAN cable is also available in the department, and our classes take place in the civil engineering department. Classrooms have a projector, whiteboard, air-conditioned, windows with curtains, well-furnished tables and chairs facility. Biometric system is there in the department office for taking attendance. The lab has all equipment which is required to do the experiments related to hydraulics like Impact of JET Pelton and Francis turbine, hydraulic jump, etc. The lab is available to the students at any time so that they can perform or repeat the experiments. Experiments are performed under proper supervision. The library is huge, and all books of various departments are available. And it is open 24x7 so students can go and study there without any disturbance. Hostels have cycle stands to park cycles, in every floor, there is a water purifier, electric geyser and washing machine. The quality of food available in a mess is average, and it is hygienic. B. C. Roy Hospital is open 24x7 and provides good medical care. Tata sports complex is available which consists of two football grounds, two hockey ground and two cricket grounds. It has floodlights and proper drainage of rainwater. For indoor games, gymkhana is provided, and it consists of a badminton court, squash court, gymnasium, swimming pool, table tennis, lawn tennis, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and have a lot of teaching experience. Some of them completed their degree from foreign countries. Their teaching is very good and also solve the doubts of students in class itself. Assignments are conducted to students and then evaluated, and the week portion is improved. Teachers encourage students to do something new.

Other: I have chosen this course because, In today's India, there is a crisis of water in many places. And flood occurrence taking place in many places in India, and these should be handled properly. So hydraulics and water resource engineering are very important for it. Technical, Cultural fest takes place every year. The college covers an area of 2,100 acres with 20 hostels including boys and girls. The whole campus is Wi-Fi connected. It has lakes, and the whole campus is covered with trees, i.e., full of greenery. People can reach IIT Kharagpur through the bus, train or flight.

Candidates should be among top 250000 successful candidates including all categories in BE/BTech paper of JEE (Main) 2025. Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000. 5 years age relaxation is given to SC/ ST/ PwD candidates. Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2024 can appear in JEE Advanced. Applicants who were allocated a seat in an IIT through JoSAA but did not report OR withdrew before the last round of seat allotment OR had their seat cancelled before the last round of seat allotment for IITs are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
