IPMAT 2025 question paper was of a moderate difficulty level. IPMAT Indore exam 2025 was conducted on May 12, 2025. The question paper had three sections, which had MCQs and short-answer type questions. The IPMAT 2025 question paper had 15 questions of Quantitative Aptitude (SA), 45 MCQs on Verbal Ability and 30 MCQs on Quantitative Aptitude (MCQs). IPMAT old question papers and sample papers give students knowledge of exam pattern. It enables them to know the type of questions, topics and exam difficulty level.

IIM Rohtak also conducts the IPM exam for 5-year IPM programme. The IPMAT question paper differs from that of the IPMAT Rohtak question paper in terms of difficulty level, number of questions, type, sections, etc.

Q:   Are there subjective-type questions in the IPMAT exam?
A: 

Yes, there are subjective-type or long form answer questions in the IPMAT exam. The Quantitative Aptitude section of the IPMAt exam has Short Answer Type questions as well as Multiple-choice questions. There are 25 questions each in both the QA sections of the IPMAT question paper. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes and the candidates will have 40 minutes to solve one section and another 40 minutes to solve the other. Candidates must attempt all the sections keeping in mind that the exam has negative marking. Candidates must note that each question in the IPMAT question paper carries four marks and one mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks are awarded or deducted for unattempted questions. The exam is conducted in the computer-based test mode, hence the candidates have to type down their answers on their screens. As for the MCQs, candidates will be required to choose the correct answer in from the four options give against each question. If the candidate marks two answers for one question, then the answer will be marked incorrect. 

Q:   Is IPMAT tough or easy?
A: 

IPMAT is known to be a difficult exam because of its mathematics component. The Quant questions include high level mathematics. The VA section is also at par but is easier than QA. 

Q:   Can I crack IPMAT exam if I have not studied maths in 12th? What level of maths is there in IPMAT exam?
A: 

Yes, one can appear for the IPMAT exam even if they didn't have mathematics in Class 12. There are no specific requirements of the IPMAT exam for having studied mathematics.

However, cracking IPMAT without having studied Mathematics in Class 11 and 12 can be a bit tricky and challenging. This is because higher level Mathematics dominate the exam. More than 60% of all the numerical are from Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus. One can also consider taking coaching for the sections they find difficult. The two sections based on Quantitative Aptitude are different in nature. One section has MCQs while the other has Short Answer Type questions. The 'Short answer type' section includes questions which will have no options with them, hence this section can be more difficult. Students who have not studied maths in HSC may be required to put in a bit more effort for the IPMAT preparation.

Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is one of the most competitive entrance exams after Class 12. The difficulty level of the IPMAT exam is usually moderate. The IPMAT question paper is divided into three sections, i.e. Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude (MCQs) and Quantitative Aptitude (SA). It is clear that QA (Maths) forms a big chunk of the IPMAT syllabus. The exam is a test of your speed and ability to pick and solve the right questions. Higher-level Maths dominates the exam. Usually, more than 60% of all the QA questions are from the Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus. Calculus and Class 12 Maths form a large portion of questions in IPMAT. Yes, IPMAT exam has negative markings. Each question in the IPMAT exam carries four marks. And for every incorrect answer, one mark is deducted. No marks will be deducted or awarded for unanswered questions.
