NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, IIT BHU ranks 31 under the 'Overall' category, 22 under the 'Research Institutions' category, and 10 under the 'Engineering' category.
QS World University Rankings 2026 have been released. According to the same, IIT BHU ranks at #566 under the category 'World Universities'.
The GATE COAP 2026 round 3 counselling window will open on May 24, 2026, for admission to the ME/MTech course. Students can decide to either accept & freeze, retain & wait, or reject & wait for their allotted seats by May 27, 2026.

- The JEE Advanced 2026 exam has been conducted for admission to the BE/BTech course. The results for the same will be announced on Jun 1, 2026.

MTech programme at IIT BHU Varanasi is one of the most popular programmes offered by the institution. It is a two year course and it is split in four semesters. The process of admission into any of the MTech programmes in IIT Varanasi depends on the performance of the candidates in Graduate Aptitude Test in engineering (GATE) exam.
