IIT Jammu BTech programme of four-year duration is offered across seven specialisations. Some of the course specialisations are Computer Science and Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc. IIT Jammu BTech admission is subject to a valid score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Successfully making it to the list of various ranking agencies at the national level, IIT Jammu ranked at 62 position in the recently released NIRF ranking 2024. Additionally, it also holds a record of offering the highest and average package of INR 53 LPA and INR 18 LPA, respectively, to the students. No, IIT Jammu admit candidates to its BTech programmes based on JEE Main qualification followed by JEE Advanced scores only. There is no other accepted entrance exam and provision for admission. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of exam scores have to take part in JoSAA counselling for seat allotment. The seats are allotted in accordance with the released cutoff and the applicants preferred college and course.
For admission in a BTech course of IIT Jammu, the candidates have to pass the JEE Advanced examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates have to appear for JEE Main and those who pass this have to take the JEE Advanced. The seat allotment procedure is further carried out through JoSAA counselling. The seats are allotted as per the rank secured in the entrance examination. Moreover, it is advisable that the aspirants check out the eligibility requirements before applying.

IIT Jammu total tuition fee for the BTech course is INR 8 lakh. The total tuition fee for the M.Tech course is INR 80,000. The fee for the MSc course is INR 26,000. Expensive or not, depends on person to person. Those students who find the fee expensive must apply for the scholarships.
