The BTech courses are the flagship courses of NIT Goa. Bachelor's in Technology courses are offered for a duration of four years, divided into eight semesters, and offered in full-time mode. - Eligibility Criteria: The basic eligibility criteria that NIT Goa accepts for admission into BTech courses are that candidates must have completed Class 12 in the Science stream (PCM) with 75% aggregate (65% for reserved categories).
- Accepted Entrance Examination: For admissions, applicants are required to score decently in JEE Mains.
- Counselling: Once, JEE Mains results are announced, candidates must participate in the JoSAA counselling. Moreover, the vacant seats after JoSAA counselling, the college accepts CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) special rounds for seat allotment. DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) scheme for NRI students.

DASA is the abbreviation for Direct Admission of Students Abroad. Yes, candidates can get direct admission to BTech courses through DASA at NIT Goa but the seats allocated through DASA are only reserved for Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) / Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), not for every student. However, for admission through DASA candidates are required to qualify for their basic eligibility criteria that state: Admissions are based on SAT scores, and candidates need a valid SAT subject test score in Mathematics Level 2, Physics, and Chemistry.
The National Institute of Technology Goa BTech fee is INR 5 lakh. The fee mentioned here is the total tuition fee taken from an unofficial source. Apart from the tuition fee, a one-time payment of INR 9,000 will also be charged. NIT Goa follows the eligibility for admission follows the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. For BTech courses, at the time of admission, the candidates should have passed/ appeared and awaiting results of the final examination of the Class 12 or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects of study. Additionally, the candidates must have secured at least an aggregate of 75%. The selection process for BTech at NIT Goa completely depends on the JEE Mains scores achieved by the candidates'.
For general/OBC students whose family income is above 5 Lacs per annum is Rs. 66,700 in odd sem and in even is Rs.62,500. And if family income is between 1 Lacs to 5 Lacs then 1/3 of tuition fee and if below 1 Lacs and SC/ST student then full tuition fee exempted.
Last year, CRL cutoff for general male students was 12k. Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent with minimum of 75 percent marks by the AIU or Intermediate or 2-year Pre-University exam conducted by a recognized Board/ University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. Candidate who have passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2021, 2022, or those who are appearing in Class 12/equivalent examination in 2023, are also eligible to appear. There is no age limit for the candidates.

Yes, candidates can change their BTech branch at NIT Goa after the first year. A student admitted to a particular branch of the undergraduate programme will continue studying in that branch till completion. However, the Institute may permit a student admitted through JEE (Main)/DASA quota, to change from one branch of studies to another after the first two semesters.
To change the BTech branch at NIT Goa, candidates are required to complete the eligibility criteria laid down:
- Candidates must have completed all the credits required in the first two semesters of their studies in their first attempt.
- Branch changes are usually based on candidates' CGPA, which will be calculated based on candidates' scores of the beginning two semesters. Students need a high CGPA (often above 8.5 or 9.0) to be eligible and get a seat in another branch. Sometimes the seat also plays a major role in switching the BTech branch.
NTA has announced the JEE Main 2026 exam date for session 2. JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam will be held from April 2 to 9, 2026. JEE Main 2026 session 2 registration will start in January last week. The JEE Main Application Form 2026 session 2 will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE 2026 session 1 exam will be conducted from January 21 to 30.
