NIIFT Counselling 2026 - The Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT) will conduct the NIIFT 2026 counselling online. The NIIFT 2026 counselling schedule will be released soon after the results are declared. Candidates will be called for counselling based on their exam scores. Eligible candidates must register for counselling and seat allotment per the given schedule.
The NIIFT entrance examination will take place at the NIIFT campus. The exam NIIFT results for undergraduate courses will also be announced soon. NIIFT 2026 Counselling sessions for postgraduate courses will be conducted as per PTU norms. For undergraduate admissions, the first, second, and third rounds of counselling will take place soon. The academic session will begin as per the IKG PTU Academic Calendar 2026.

NIIFT Seat Matrix 2026
NIIFT Counselling for 85% of the seats reserved for Punjab residents and 15% for candidates from outside Punjab will be conducted simultaneously. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be considered under the General Category first, and only then under their respective reserved categories if not selected.
If any reserved category seats remain vacant after the second counselling, they will be converted to General Category seats during the third counselling.
Following the third counselling, any remaining vacant seats will be made available to eligible candidates on a first-come, first-served basis, upon submission of the required fee, until the final admission date as specified by PTU.
If seats are allotted, the candidates have to download the provisional invitation letter cum counselling letter from the admission portal. NIIFT 2026 exam will be notified on the official website. To download the letter, use your application number, date of birth, and email ID. The allotment of seats will be based on the NIIFT 2026 merit rank of the candidate.

Seats will be allotted based on the candidate's merit rank, chosen institute, and seat availability. Upon seat allotment, candidates are required to deposit the admission fee through a bank demand draft within the specified deadline. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat, which will then be offered to the next candidate in the order of merit.
