Detailed review of UIET Chandigarh (Panjab University).

Placements: Placements are the biggest ROI of this college. All the MNCs like Google, Amazon, and other reputed companies come here in college for campus placement. The packages are around 8-10 LPA for core branches, and for the tech branches, it is around 11 LPA.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is old school but beautiful at the same time, and that is because it's a very old university. Labs and workshops are having everything that a student would need in his/her learning phase. Hostels are very affordable, and the mess food follows the same trend.

Faculty: Faculty members are very serious about the genuineness of delivering education to the students and hence are a little strict. The exam paper also contains a good composition of conceptual as well as challenging questions to trigger students' minds. The curriculum is not too hectic.

University provided good campus life with decent placements .

Placements: Branches like CSE and IT have almost 90% of students placed but in core branches like MECH and EEE, percentage placement is less. And the overall average package is about 8–10 LPA. The highest package of last year is approximately 40 LPA. Top recruiters that come in college are American Express and Deloitte .

Infrastructure: Infrastructure was average but the university shares campus with Panjab University. So overall, campus life was good. There is a shortage of hostels, so a very small amount of students get hostels on merit basics. Medical facilities are available on the Panjab University campus. Sports facilities were too good at Panjab University .

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The curriculum was updated and relevant for placement and also helpful for higher education. As per it is an engineering college, so semester exams were a little bit difficult, but if you study well, you will get good marks.

Value for money with great ROI .

Placements: Since I am a first-year student, I don't have much idea about placements. But it is quite decent. One of my EEE seniors got 6 LPA, one of the IT seniors got 14 LPA, and the CSE senior got around 12 LPA as well and that too at the start of the final year itself. So there are many opportunities.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good. There are labs for each branch, be it for any subject of electrical or computers. Wi-Fi facility is provided in the whole campus, which runs very smoothly. Classrooms are decent. The library is well maintained and one can study there peacefully during free time.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. Most of them are doctorates. Each teacher has very good knowledge of their subject. The course curriculum is relevant and is the same as that of any other engineering college. Semester exams are doable if you study enough. One has to achieve a minimum of 50% credit in order to prevent a year back.

Amazing ROI, But Too Hassle!

Placements: All Students are interested in placements some of them are interested in government jobs. So Almost Who Sits in Placement drive gets placed. 4-5 Core Company comes so most are placed in service based company Gemini Solutions. Job Role - Analyst 50% used to get internship in service based company in which they are placed! Generally Package lies between 6-9 Lacs. Avg around 7 Lacs. Few students also gets above 10lpa.

Infrastructure: Poor Infrastructure in Classroom, Labs, because of lack of Funds As it gets funds from central government. Wi-fi Available Good Speed at selected spots. Good Library course books are available in department library also Pu AC Joshi is There to Study. Major issue of Hostel only 10-15% used to get Hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified Helpful And Knowledgeable. Curriculum are more core oriented. But as students are placed in It Field so Course will be modified. Plannings are going on 40% Is required for passing and almost 20% students are having re in one or more subjects.

Other: I got this as per my cut-off. Core is as always Interesting. Would like to Improve Infrastructure, Course Syllabus, Placements, Hostel Issue Great Support Of Scholarship, Located in Sector 25 Chandigarh, Well connected, Not crowded, Politics In PU - Extracurricular Activity.

It is one of the best colleges if your CRL is higher than 1 lakh in JEE.

Placements: There are 445 offers recorded on campus. The highest salary package offered is 45 LPA and the average salary package offered is 9.52 LPA. There is a considerable rise in the average salary package this year compared to the previous year. Top recruiting companies like Amazon, Hitachi, Samsung, Byju's, etc., visit our campus. Not only on campus, but students at UIET also managed to land jobs at top companies through off-campus placements. The salary package offered is 56 LPA off-campus.

Infrastructure: UIET has its library in block 02, and there are many books available for every subject in all branches. There are newspapers, journals, and magazines. Allotment of hostel space is purely based on your JEE rank (CRL). Around 15 to 30 students from every branch get hostels on campus. The hostel rooms are good and affordable. Every hostel has its mess and canteen. There are many grounds at the hostel.

Faculty: All teachers are very helpful and friendly. They are Ph.D. holders in their respective subjects and are experts in their fields. The course curriculum is relevant and practical. It helps students become industry-ready. There are two minor exams and one major or final exam, which are easy to pass with some hard work and study.
