AP PGECET 2026 counselling: Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education will conduct AP PGECET counselling. The admission counselling for MTech programmes will be done in different rounds depending on number of seat intake. Candidates who have qualified in AP PGECET 2026 are eligible for counselling.
Andhra Pradesh PGECET counselling 2026 comprises different stages such as registration, web-option entry, and seat allotment. A detailed notification regarding counselling will be made available on official website at cets.apsche.gov.in.
A separate official notification is released for GATE qualified candidates. The counselling fee (NON-REFUNDABLE) is INR 1000 for OC/BC and ST/SC candiadtes is INR 500. The fee amount is applicable for both AP PGECET and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering students. Final allotment is done based on choice filled and marks obtained in AP PGECET result. AP PGECET Counselling 2026: Procedure
Andhra Pradesh MTech admission consists following stages-
- Choice filling and locking
- Verification of documents
- Payment of counselling fee
Documents to be Submitted for Online Document Verification
Candidates registering through GATE/GPAT must submit the following documents for verification. The certificates uploaded must be original -
- GATE/GPAT scorecard
- Provisional certificate/Degree certificate and Memorandum of marks of the qualifying examination
- Memo of SSC or its equivalent
- Study Certificate from Class 10th to graduation, OR Residence certificate preceding seven years from the qualifying examination
- Integrated community certificate issued by the competent authority (for BC/SC/ST candidates)
- Residence certificate of father or mother for 10 years in A.P,. excluding the period of their employment outside A.P. from M.R.O. in case of candidates who have studied outside the state of A.P
- Transfer certificate
- Candidates who have studied in Telangana but wish to claim AU/SVU regions have to submit a local status certificate.

Yes, GATE or GPAT qualified candidates can apply for AP PGECET. However, they are exempted from attempting exam but eligible for counselling process. Selection will be based on GATE/GPAT scores only. At the time of filling application form, candidates must mention their GATE score details.
Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education is the conducting body of AP PGECET. The Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test takes place once in a year to offer admission to MTech/MPharma programmes in Andhra Pradesh engineering and pharmacy colleges.

AP PGECET seat allotment is conducted to the shortlisted candidates based on merit, seat availability, and choice filling. Seat allotment is the last step of the Andhra Pradesh PGECET seat allotment process. Candidates download the Andhra Pradesh PGECET seat allotment letter and report through a self-reporting system. They also have to report to the allotted colleges or institutes, which will lead to the cancellation of seats.
Fee for AP PGECET counselling is INR 1000 (OBC and BC) and INR 500 (SC and ST) applicable for GATE, GPAT, and AP PGECET qualified candidates. The APSCHE publishes the AP PGECET cutoff after the declaration of the results. The cutoff is different for each institute to institute depending on the course opted. Also, the cutoff marks will differ for GATE/GPAT-qualified candidates and PGECET-qualified candidates. Candidates who qualify for the AP PGECET cutoff are eligible for counselling.

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education will conduct AP PGECET 2026 phase 2 counselling in September 2026. The counselling process includes registration, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, etc.
Once a student is done with the first round's option entry, there is no chance for him or her to add any option for the second round unless a few seats have been added by a college after the first round of allotment. However, a student can change the order of the options that he or she has entered before the second round of allotment.
