Mystory@Adarsh: How I chose my course and college
I enjoyed Math and Physics, especially numericals, since class 8th, so I opted for PCM in class 11th. I went to Kota for IIT coaching and cleared JEE Mains in 2015 but was unable to crack JEE Advanced because I didn't work hard. I took admission in BTech (Civil Engineering) at a deemed university (private) by giving its entrance exam.
When I joined college, I saw that teachers didn't teach properly, the experience forced me from inside to brace up once again to prepare for IIT entrance exam.
My college experience
Once again, I started preparing for IIT entrance while completing my 1st year in college. I managed to successfully clear JEE Advanced 2016 but I didn't get IIT Delhi because I didn't get a good enough rank.

I am presently in 2nd year BTech (Civil Engineering) at VIT Vellore. Since it’s a private college, facilities are good. I find some of my core subjects valuable such as Construction Management, Strength of Materials etc. This college has a very nice infrastructure but in our career, infrastructure of a college will not play a major role. I participated in some events such as Build-a-thon in which I made a model of a bridge.
Since the infrastructure of our country is lagging behind from other developed countries, I thought as a civil engineer I could contribute to developing the infrastructure of my country and I think I will do it. I also like to do social service for the progress of the society. I have thought of appearing for Civil Services exams after completing graduation.
My learnings
I will miss college holidays after I compete my graduation. For my recreation, I to go the gym as I am very much concerned about health (Jo FIT hai wo HIT hai).
Never depend on God for your success and never compete with others. Compete with yourself daily and try to bring out your best.
Time is very precious. If you waste time, time will waste you. So please don't waste your time...Life is very big to enjoy!
