National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed UPCET 2021 till further notice due to the ongoing pandemic. New UPCET 2021 exam date will be announced on the official website soon. The final date for UPCET 2021 registration has also been extended till May 31. Registered candidates will be able to access UPCET 2021 application form correction facility from June 2 to 8. AKTU will not be conducting UPSEE anymore and the entrance examination has been renamed to Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET). Candidates who wish to get admission into various UG, PG and lateral courses offered by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT) and Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur will have to secure good marks in UPCET 2021. UPCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
NTA has released the official eligibility criteria of UPCET 2021 on the official website. All candidates will be required to meet the requirements set by the authorities otherwise; they will not be termed eligible for admissions. UPCET eligibility criteria for every course is different, however there some general criteria which all candidates will have to meet irrespective of the course that they select for admissions.
General UPCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
- There is no age limit for UPCET 2021.
- Candidates should have passed 10+2th or equivalent examination from any institution located in Uttar Pradesh, OR their parents should have a valid domicile certificate.
- Candidates whose parents are not domicile of Uttar Pradesh will also be able to appear for the entrance examination if they meet the other eligibility requirements.
- Candidates who have appeared for the examination and are awaiting results or are due to appear for it will also be eligible for admissions. However, they will have to show their result during the document verification. Failure to show the result will result in disqualification.
UPCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for MCA (Integrated)
- Candidates should have qualified intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics/Statistics/Accountancy as compulsory subjects and one of the optional subjects - Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects.
- Should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
UPCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for BPharm
Should have passed (with/without grace) intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/Biology subject.
UPCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for BHMCT/BFAD /BFA/B Voc/ BDes/MBA (Integrated)
- Candidates must have passed (with/without grace) the intermediate examination of the U.P. Board or the 10+2 level examination or its equivalent.
- Should have secured a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate.
UPCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for MCA in any institution affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow
- Candidates should have passed BCA/ Bachelor degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree or passed BSc. /BCom/ BA with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduation level.
- Should have scored a minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST).
UPCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for BTech Lateral Entry
- Candidates who have passed (with/without grace) three years Engineering Diploma from an Institution located in U.P. with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) OR whose parents (Father or mother) are domicile of Uttar Pradesh and he/she has passed three years Engineering Diploma with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) recognized by the Board of Technical Education, U.P., in any branch of Engineering (except Agriculture Engg., Pharmacy and Architecture).
- Candidates who have passed (with/without grace) three years B.Sc. degree and passed XII standard with mathematics as one of the subjects from any recognized University; securing minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate. These candidates will be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with the candidates belonging to the Diploma stream.
- Admission to the second year of BTech (Lateral entry) of HBTU would be governed by the eligibility criteria laid down by HBTU
UPCET 2021 Application Form
Candidates can access UPCET 2021 application form at the official website upcet.nta.nic.in until May 31. It is essential to complete the application process to participate in the entrance examination. While filling out the application form, the candidates will have to provide valid details otherwise the authorities will reject their application. Candidates are advised to check the UPCET 2021 eligibility criteria before filling out the online application form:
Step 1 – Registration: In the first step, the candidates will have to go to the official website and register for UPCET 2021. Valid email ID and mobile number has to be entered for the registration.
Step 2 – Filling of Application Form: Next, the candidates will have to fill in their personal, academic and communication details. Preferred course and test centres also have to be selected by the candidates.
Step 3 – Uploading of Documents: Candidates will have to upload their scanned photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities.
Step 4 – Payment of Fee: The required UPCET 2021 application fee has to be paid by the candidates. The payment can be done in online mode i.e., credit card/debit card/net banking/UPI.
Step 5 – Submissions of Form: In the final step, the candidates will have to submit the filled UPCET application form and take a print out for future use.

UPCET 2021 Exam Centres
While filling out the application form, the candidates will have to select their preferred UPCET 2021 exam centres from the list of options provided by the authorities. UPCET 2021 Syllabus
The authorities have released the official UPCET 2021 syllabus in online mode. Candidates are advised to visit the official website of AKTU, MMMUT and HBTU to know the detailed subjects and topics that they have to study for the entrance examination. By knowing the syllabus in detail, the candidates will be able to know prepare accordingly for the entrance examination.
UPCET 2021 Admit Card
Registered candidates will be able to download UPCET 2021 admit card on the official website after the registration process is over. The authorities will soon announce the official UPCET 2021 admit card release date. Details regarding the allotted UPCET 2021 exam centre, timings and more will be available in the admit card. Candidates are advised to print the admit card and keep it for future use.
Steps to download UPCET 2021 admit card
- Go to the official website upcet.nta.nic.in
- Candidates will to click on the admit card link.
- UPCET 2021 application number and password has to be provided.
- Click on ‘Submit’.
- The admit card will be displayed on the screen. Candidates will have to download the admit card and print it out.
UPCET 2021 Answer Key
NTA will release the provisional UPCET 2021 answer key soon after the conclusion of the examination. Along with the answer key, the questions and recorded responses will also be made available. Candidates will be allowed to raise objections against the provisional answer key for a certain period on payment of Rs. 200 per answer challenged. The final UPCET answer key will be released after checking all of the submitted objections.
UPCET 2021 Result
Candidates will be able to check UPCET 2021 result at the official website. Candidates will have to log in using the required credentials to check the UPCET result. The scores secured by the candidates in the entrance examination will be available through the result of UPCET 2021. Candidates will also be informed about the result through email and SMS. Since no score card will be dispatched, the candidates will have to download the UPCET result for future use.
UPCET 2021 Merit List
NTA will prepare UPCET 2021 merit list based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance examination. For every course, the authorities will release separate UPCET merit list. Criteria specified and handed over to AKTU/MMMUT will be taken into consideration while preparing the merit list.
Tie-Breaking Criteria of UPCET 2021 Merit List
In case, two or more candidates secure equal marks, then the inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined as follows:
Firstly, the candidate having lesser percentage of incorrect answers will be given a higher rank.

UPCET 2021 Cutoff
The minimum required scores to have higher chances of admissions into the participating institutes will be released through UPCET 2021 cutoff. The authorities will release the cutoff based on particulars related to the examination such as difficulty level, number of applicants, previous year cutoff and more. UPCET cutoff will differ as per category, course and college selected by the candidates.
UPCET 2021 Counselling
NTA will conduct the UPCET 2021 counselling for all qualified candidates after the result is announced. Candidates will be required to select their choice of college and course in the order of preference. Allotment of seats will be done based on preference, merit and availability of seat. After the allotment is done, the candidates will have to confirm their admission by providing the required documents and payment of fee.
