Q:   Is revision important in WBJEE preparation? How much should I revise before the examination?
A:

Yes. It is essential for the students to revise regularly before the entrance examination. The students are advised to revise everyday so that they have lesser chances of forgetting what they have earlier studied. This will allow the students to retain all of the important topics that they have studied and perform well in the examination. While preparing the timetable, the candidates should allot a few hours everyday to revision. As an essential part of the preparation process, it should not be skipped out on.

Q:   How to prepare for WBJEE in a short period of time?
A:

Since WBJEE is a competitive engineering entrance examination, the candidates are advised to start their preparation process as early as possible. However, if the candidates do not have much time left before the examination, they can follow certain preparation tips to ensure that they are able to do their best in the exam. First of all, the candidates should prepare a timetable so that they are able to cover the syllabus or the important topics before the examination. Previous year papers or mock tests should be regularly solved so that the candidates are aware of the examination pattern and recurring important topics. Candidates are advised not to study new topics before the examination and to focus on understanding the already studied topics more.

Q:   Are separate WBJEE merit lists prepared for the different courses?
A:

Yes, the authorities will prepare separate WBJEE merit lists for the different courses. For Engineering/Technology/Architecture courses, the WBJEE General Merit List (GMR) will be prepared. Selection of candidates for admissions into the courses will be done based on the GMR. For Pharmacy admissions, the authorities will prepare the WBJEE Pharmacy Merit List (PMR). The merit list will be prepared based on the score of candidates who have appeared in the combined paper of Physics & Chemistry only in the WBJEE.

Q:   What is the WBJEE OMR sheet all about?
A:

WBJEE OMR sheets will consist of the responses selected and submitted by the candidates in the entrance examination. Through the OMR sheets, the candidates will be able to check their submitted responses and compare it to the official WBJEE answer key. Knowing the correct answers will allow the candidates to calculate their probable secured scores before the official results are declared.

Q:   What are the last minute preparation tips for WBJEE?
A:

During the last few days before the examination, the candidates are advised to focus on WBJEE revision. No new topics and concepts should be studied right before the exam as it might create confusion. Instead the candidates should focus on strengthening the topics that they have already studied. Candidates should also focus on mock tests and get enough rest to perform well in the examination.
