WBJEE 2026 question papers will be released online at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee by the authorities of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB). Candidates are advised to refer to the WBJEE question papers to know the questions that were attempted and solved during the previous years' examinations, and are likely to be repeated. While preparing for the upcoming exam, the candidates are advised to check the previous years' WBJEE question papers so that they have a good idea regarding the pattern of the paper and other important details such as the common type of questions, exam duration, marking scheme and more. Through the previous years' papers, the candidates will also be able to identify the commonly asked questions and high-weightage topics in the WBJEE exam, which will increase their chances of securing good scores. Previous year papers have also proved to help the aspirants to work on their weak areas and strengthen the core areas of the WBJEE syllabus. Marking Scheme

Category I

Each correct answer will be awarded one mark.

An incorrect response will yield a loss of ¼ mark

For any combination of responses with more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -1/4 (25% negative) marks.

 

Category II

Only one option is correct, the correct response yields two marks.

An incorrect response will yield -1/2 (25% negative) marks

For any combination of responses with more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield a -1/2 (25% negative) mark.

 

Category III

One or more options may be correct. Only correct responses will yield 2 (two) marks.

There is no negative marking.

WBJEE cutoff will vary for the different colleges, courses and categories. Reserved category students are expected to have a lower cutoff than General students. Likewise, popular colleges and courses will have higher cutoffs due to the number of students applying for admission.
