WBJEE 2026 Round 2 & 3 Counselling: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct WBJEE 2026 Round 3 counselling. WBJEE 2026 counselling has commenced. The qualified candidates will have to participate in the three rounds of counselling to be eligible for admissions. WBJEE 2026 counselling registration is open online. Seat allotment result will be declared for all participating candidates.

WBJEE seat allotment result is declared online. To check allotment result, students have to select their type of registration and log in using their roll number and password. Students will not be informed about their allotment in any other mode.

The second round of WBJEE counselling is held to upgrade the registered candidates or freshly allot the ones who were not allotted in the first round. Fresh registrations will be accepted for Round 2.

Q:   What is the WBJEE seat acceptance fee?

The WBJEE seat acceptance fee is INR 5000 (refundable). To download the seat allotment letter, the students will have to pay the fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. If the fee is not paid, then they students will not be able to move forward with the admission confirmation process.

WBJEE 2026 Round 3 Counselling

WBJEE Round 3 counselling will be held to allot preferred choices to those candidates who are still not satisfied with their allotment. During Round 3 counselling, vacant seats will also be filled by fresh candidates and those looking for upgradation. However, not all candidates will be eligible for WBJEE 2026 Round 3 counselling.

WBJEE 2026 Counselling Withdrawal Process

Candidates will be able to withdraw from WBJEE counselling 2026 only during the withdrawal period as per the official dates. Once withdrawal is successful, candidates will not be eligible for WBJEE 2026 seat allotment in any subsequent rounds. WBJEE 2026 seat acceptance fee will be refunded, wherever applicable, and will be governed by the refund policy prescribed by the Board.

WBJEE 2026 Round 2 Counselling (Upgradation)

WBJEEB conducted WBJEE Round 2 counselling to provide opportunities for upgradation to eligible candidates and to accommodate their preferences. This process also helped to fill vacant seats after Round 1. Since fresh registrations were accepted, eligible candidates who missed their chance in Round 1 could also apply for admissions into the remaining seats.

Who are eligible for WBJEE 2026 Round 2 counselling?

The following categories are eligible for Round 2 of WBJEE counselling 2026.

Details

Type A

Candidates who have accepted allotment in Round 1 and are eligible for their higher preferred choices through their existing locked choice list.

Type B

Candidates who were not allotted any seat in Round 1 and wish to continue with their existing choice list. These candidates will be automatically considered for Round 2 and will not have to submit fresh choices.

Type C

Allotted candidates who want to participate through fresh choice filling after not confirming their allotment in Round 1

Type D

Candidates who surrender their earlier choice list and opt to participate with a completely fresh choice list.

Fresh Registrations

Candidates who are registering afresh for Round 2 will have to meet the deadline and pay required counselling fee.

Previous years' WBJEE cutoff is available at official website. Students can check previous years' cutoffs to know rank range that they need to score for higher chances of admission into their preferences.

There is no minimum passing mark for WBJEE. However, for admission, candidates should have score minimum 45% marks in 12th qualifying examination (40% for reserved categories).

Yes, there a self-financing institutes included in the WBJEE counselling process. In the self-financing institutes, the 10% approved seats will be open for JEE Main qualified candidates. These students do not require WBJEE scores for admission.

WBJEE 2026 Upgradation Round: What are the possible outcomes?

Candidates participating in Round 2 of WBJEE 2026 counselling may experience one of the following outcomes:

  • Upgradation to higher preferred choice.
  • Retention of previously allotted choice without upgradation.
  • Fresh allotment against a vacant seat.
  • Cancellation of allotment due to ineligibility, failure of document verification, etc.
  • No allotment.

WBJEE result will not be sent through post or email. Students will have to log in with their roll number and password to check and download WBJEE result. They can download result in form of a rank card.

Q:   Can I request to review my WBJEE scores?

If the students have any grievance about their WBJEE score, then they can raise a query through email to information [at]wbjeeb.nic.in. The grievances have to be submitted within 24 hours of the result declaration. Along with the grievance, the students will also have to attach copies of their OMR, rank card, question booklet number and its series code along with the question wise calculation of the score.

Only appearing for WBJEE is not enough for B.Arch. As per Council of Architecture (CoA) rules, you must also have a valid score in NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 (Architecture) alongside your academic and state entrance qualifications.

Yes, but only in private colleges through management quota, based on Class 12 marks, without needing WBJEE. Colleges like IEM, Heritage, Techno India, and Adamas offer this option.
Always check that the college is AICTE-approved before taking direct admission, as unapproved seats can create problems

A WBJEE rank of 20000 can get you admission to this college if you belong to the General AI category. For this category, the last round closing rank ranged from 8796 to 68436. Hence, a few courses can be availed with the attained rank.
