VITREE January 2026 Eligibility Criteria

• For PhD, candidates must have a master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum qualifying mark of 60% or CGPA of 6.5. 
• For Direct PhD, candidates must have an excellent academic record in their bachelor's degree with a minimum qualifying percentage of 75% or CGPA of 7.5
• For PhD Deep Technology Research Chancellor Fellowship, candidates must have an outstanding academic record in either bachelor's or master's degree with a minimum 75% marks or a CGPA OF 8.0

VITREE 2026 registrations for the January session have started. The application form is released at admissions.vit.ac.in. The last date to submit the application form is November 20, 2025. The application process for VITREE 2026 comprises registration, filling out the form, uploading the documents, and payment of the application fees. The VITREE 2026 application fee is INR 1200 for all categories and must be paid online via netbanking/debit card or credit card. Once the application form is submitted, candidates can check their status through their email ID and password. 

NOTE: The VITREE application form is released twice a year, for January and July sessions. Candidates can apply as per their convenience and eligibility. 

How to Fill the VITREE Application Form 2026? 

• Visit the official website of VITREE admissions.vit.ac.in.  
• Firstly, candidates need to register. Once the registration is complete, candidates will receive a registration number and password. 
• Candidates need to log in using their email ID and password. 
• Now, candidates need to provide their personal, educational, and communication details.
• Then, upload the documents as per the specifications.
• After completing all the above, proceed to pay the VITREE application form 2026 fees.

The Vellore Institute of Technology will conduct the VITREE 2026 counselling process after the announcement of the results. The counselling process comprises registration, personal interviews, guide selection and document verification. Candidates must pay the VITREE 2026 counselling fee online to confirm their admission.
