The prelims exam of SBI PO is conducted in four shifts while the Mains exam is conducted in two shifts. SBI PO prelims shift timings are 9 AM to 10 AM, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, 2 pm to 3 pm and 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm. SBI PO Mains exam timings are 2 pm to 3 pm and 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. After downloading the SBI PO admit card, candidates must check all the details printed on it carefully. For spelling error in the name, candidates must immediately report to the examination authority after the admit card is released. After correction, the examination authority issues a fresh SBI PO admit card. The identity of candidates is verified at the entry gate of the exam centre as per the photo-identity proof. If there is any mismatch of information, candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates are required to carry one valid photo-identity proof to the exam centre. The photo-identity proofs that candidates can carry are Passport/PAN Card/Voter’s Card/Bank Passbook/ Duly attested Photograph/Identity Card issued by School or College/ Gazetted Officer/ Aadhaar Card.

The Mains exam of SBI PO is conducted in around 70 cities. The Mains exam comprises objective-type and descriptive-type questions. Total marks allotted to the test are 250.
