The SSC MTS admit card for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) is released separately by the test conducting body. The Ministry of Home Affairs nominates such test conducting body. In most cases, it is Central Reserve Police Force. The test conducting body releases the admit card for the eligible candidates and conducts the exam at its exam centres. After the tests, it prepares the result and sends it to the Staff Selection Commission.

After the declaration of the PET/PST result, the Commission ask the candidates for the state and force preference and based on the overall merit and the candidates' preferences, the Commission releases the final result.
