Q: You have scored more than 735 marks out of 800. Was this result expected? Please tell us about your first reaction.
A: I had mixed feelings because I felt I did well in majorly all subjects but I could have done a little better in English. Yes, I did expect this much score although my Target was around 750+ but I did my best so I do not have any regrets.
Q: Tell us about your family and educational background?
A: I have four members in my family. My father is a businessman and my mother is a homemaker and my elder brother is currently pursuing his master's.All of them were very supportive throughout. I did my schooling at D.A.V. Public School, Pushpanjali for which I am very grateful.
Q: How was your board result?
A: I scored 97.2% in boards and I was the school topper. I am from a commerce background.
Q: When did you start preparing for CUET Exam? What all books did you refer to?
A: I feel the preparation for CUET begins from the moment we start preparing for our 12th standard. All the books that we refer to for boards are sufficient for CUET.
Q: How much time did you devote to self-study? What do you feel is better, coaching or self-study?
A: I devoted at least 3-4 hours regularly for self-study because consistency is the key that helps you in the long run.I think it depends on the person and what they find comfortable. But I did take coaching to understand the concepts better but that is never a substitute to classroom learning and self-study. Although I would suggest students to give a series of mock tests to prepare better.
Q: Which subject is your strong one and which is the weakest? Are NCERT books sufficient for preparations?
A: It was very evident throughout that my weak subject was English and I would suggest all not to neglect it at any cost and my strong subjects were Economics and Business Studies. Yes to a lot extent, NCERT books are sufficient but there are certain subjects like Mathematics and English for which you can take help of other books to practice more but not to replace NCERT books.
Q: What was your exam day strategy? According to you, what was the toughest and easiest section?
A: As per the collages I was targeting my aim was to attempt all the required questions correctly in a calm manner. The easiest section I found was again economics and the toughest was English.

A: My main aim was to get into a top college in Delhi University but like any other student my dream college is Shri Ram College of Commerce.
Q: What are the courses you are looking forward to?
A: The courses that I am looking forward to are BCom (Hons), Economics (Hons), BMS and BFIA.
Q: To whom do you attribute your successful CUET journey? What would you suggest to future CUET aspirants in terms of preparation, attitude, etc.?
A: I attribute this success to my schoolteachers and tutors who helped me prepare so well for boards as well as for CUET, and to my parents and friends who were always supportive. My suggestion to all the aspirants would be that they should focus on the subjects in 12th as it is the base for everything and start reading newspaper because that is one thing that gives you an edge. And this is a quote I stood by that I would like to share "Hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard" so never lose hope and keep going.
