What is AIBE Exam?

The All India Bar Examination is a national-level certification exam conducted by the Bar Council of India. The exam is held to assess the basic legal knowledge of advocates. It is mandatory to clear the AIBE exam to get the Certificate of Practice. With this, they can practice law in Indian courts.

AIBE 21 Eligibility Criteria 2026

Anyone who is planning to appear must check the AIBE 21 eligibility requirements mentioned below

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying exam

Candidates who have passed a three-year LLB or five-year LLB degree are eligible to appear for the AIBE exam. Therefore, the academic qualifying exam for AIBE candidates is 

3-year LLB degree, OR

5-year integrated LLB degree

Minimum marks in qualifying exam

The BCI mentions no minimum marks are required for appearing in the AIBE exam. However, a candidate must secure a minimum percentage or grades in their law degree as prescribed by universities for further education. 

Age limit for AIBE exam

There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in the All India Bar Examination. 

State Bar Council Registration/Enrollment 

A candidate must be registered with their State Bar Councils as an Advocate. As State Bar Council enrollment is mandatory for AIBE eligibility. 

Candidates not enrolled as an advocate with the SBC, will not be able to apply for AIBE 21

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to check the AIBE 21 result 2026:

  1. The AIBE XXI result link is provided at allindiabarexamination.com
  2. Candidates have to go to the result link, and a login window opens up
  3. Here candidates need to enter their AIBE application ID and Date of Birth
  4. On login, the AIBE qualifying status will be displayed on the screen

Yes, candidates can raise objection on AIBE Answer Key. Based on the objections received, the AIBE Final Answer Key will be released. The AIBE Result is declared based on the final answer key.

There is no negative marking in the exam. But one mark is given for every correct answer. In case you leave any questions unanswered, nothing will be deducted.

Candidates who will successfully pass the AIBE exam will be issued the CoP by BCI. The qualified candidates will have to collect their Certificate of Practice from their respective State Bar Councils. It is a mandatory document to practice Law in India.

No, you cannot email objections for the AIBE answer key to the Bar Council of India. Objections must be submitted online through the AIBE PORTAL by logging in with your credentials, paying the required fee of INR 500 per question, and uploading supporting documentation.
