Factors Affecting AILET SC Category Cutoff
Read the factors that impact the cutoff scores for admission to the premier law institute. Find out what the basis is on which the AILET cutoff is decided:
- Total Seat Intake: NLU Delhi has allocated exactly 17 seats for the Scheduled Caste (SC) category in its undergraduate BA LLB (Hons.) program. If the cutoff goes low, the competition for admission gets tough and vice versa.
- Question Paper Difficulty Level: If the exam difficulty level is low, then the cutoff goes high, provided the number of candidates appearing for the exam is vast.
- Number of Applicants: The quantum of applications received for admission is another deciding factor that defines whether the cutoff remains low or high.
- Sub-Category Reservations, such as Women's Reservation: Despite a reservation for different categories, there is a horizontal reservation for women candidates as well.
- Counselling Rounds: NLU Delhi conducts counselling in multiple rounds. Typically, there are three to four rounds of counselling if the seats remain vacant. This is another factor that influences the cutoff scores.
