After participating in the exam, candidates get confused about the AILET ranks and marks. Here we have highlighted the important points of difference between them.
As the AILET 2026 exam is over, candidates wish to know about the difference between their marks and rank. These both affcet the AILET 2026 merit list, and the expected AILET cutoff for the year. The institute will release the result after the exam is completed. NLU Delhi will then publish the list of qualified candidates as AILET invite list. Candidates included in the list will have to participate in the counseling process to secure their seat in NLU Delhi.

- Number of candidates appeared
- Number of candidates qualified
- Total seats available for admission
- Category of candidates
AILET Tie-Breaking Method
The below given method is followed in this case:
BA LLB program
- If two or more candidates get the same marks, their merit will be determined on the basis of higher marks in the logical Reasoning section.
- If the tie persists, then the candidate senior in age will be given preference.
- If the tie is still undecided at this stage, then the merit rank will be decided by the computerized draw of lots.
LLM program
- Senior Age;
- Computerized draw of lots
AILET 2026 Counselling
NLU Delhi will conduct the counselling process for admission to the course.The qualified candidates will have to register for the process and participate as per the schedule. The university will release the merit lists for different rounds. Candidates whose names appear on the merit lists will have to get their documents verified, and report to institute as per the schedule.

- The candidate with higher marks in the Legal Reasoning section.

AILET Notifications
No, AILET Entrance Exam cutoff is released separately for the various categories. For instance, the cut-off is available for categories like Open, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PH categories. Note that open category candidates will not be considered for admission under reserved category seats. However, candidates belonging to reserved category will be considered for admission under both open and the reserved category they belong to. To be considered for admission under reserved category, the candidate must furnish the required category certificates. However, any candidate who is found using counterfeit documents can be disqualified at any stage of the admission process.
