Go Through Syllabus

If you prepare with strategy then SLAT is not a difficult job. First, you see the syllabus, come to know about the subjects and then decide how you are going to prepare, I mean are you going to take the help of a coaching institution or you will be preparing yourself.  If you are not able to decide about the medium, you should go for then go through a few previous question papers and try to solve. If you find them comfortable then go for self-study otherwise coaching is the option left with you.

One-Day-One-Concept Formula
One-Day-One-Concept should be your mantra in your study plan. This will surely assist you in covering all the concepts in detail. Concentrate more on topics that you think difficult and practice them accordingly. Navneet suggested attempting practice test before starting the preparation. This will give you an idea about the pattern and difficulty level of the exam. Subject-specific Preparation Strategy

English section is divided into two parts that are comprehension and writing ability tests. In the comprehension part, you will be getting a paragraph and you have to answer the questions based on the given content. Do not to skip even a single word while reading the paragraph. He also suggested to thoroughly look for contradictory sentences. Go through the questions carefully garb the meaning, and then try to make out an answer. Writing ability test will check your writing skills. Different topics will be given, wherein you have to choose one and write an article on the chosen topic. Moreover, strong vocabulary plays a significant role in clearing the English exam.

In Math, it comes under the analytical reasoning stream. His only suggestion for this particular part is a practice as much as you can. Also, practice will improve your speed and accuracy and this is what is required in any competitive exam. Here in SLAT the Math section is easy and a few of your efforts will pay you well here. Topics like ration, number series, percentage, and data interpretation need to be prepared well.

In Legal Aptitude section has three important parts legal facts, principle facts, and general knowledge. Let us see what he suggested for this section. Navneet suggested updating the knowledge about the current happenings. A newspaper is the best source to do the same.  He said do not deviate from the context given while attempting the principle fact-based questions. Do not make your assumptions or do not use other theories. Go through the given situation and answer accordingly.

At last, here are few books useful for SLAT:
1. Book for Analytical reasoning author is MK Pandey
2. Book for Analytical and logical reasoning author is Arihant Experts and S Chand

3. Book for Legal awareness and legal author is AP Bhardwaj
4. Book for Current affairs published by Arihant Publications
